New, Grand opening , nearby , and a takeout / takeaway Mexican Mecca so to speak ! I dearly Love small family businesses, all of my family had them so it's like revisiting another time. I was welcomed, a menu given, no dine-in option , grab n' go style ok. I had 3 rolled taquitos w/ guac & salsa verde. Hot, tasty, crunchy, nice 🥑 guaca , & the verde sauce has some spark 🔥. Should your time not allow a sit down at El Toro , or a bite at Taco Del Mar or others undiscovered in our first two weeks in Tacoma, here is the place ! The kitchen has the size & capacity to provide food for Big gatherings or events , plz don't overlook that. I just hate leaving poor reviews, but want people to know my thoughts before they spend their money here.

I’ve tried twice on them and both times were not even close to good.

I grew up in Southern California with really great Mexican food, so I am not reviewing lightly here.

The chips and “salsa” is STUPID hot. It’s like the hottest water you’ve ever tasted. No flavor and no salsa components. I opened two cans of refried beans at home and mixed in 1/3 of the “salsa” and we still couldn’t eat it. The salsa verde is practically water and the tacos are genuinely flavorless. Last visit, we tried the carne fried and carne burrito and neither of us finished them. Huge let down. If you look up in the dictionary "burrito connoisseur" you will see a picture of me. I have searched far and wide along the entire west coast for the world's best burrito. I've been to San Diego, Los Angeles, Bakesfield, Portland, Oakland, San Francisco. Needless to say I've been around.

Aceitunos has quenched my need for a perfect carne asada burrito. The meat flavoring is second to none. While I cannot say this is the best burrito in the world, I can say it is the best burrito you can get in Tacoma, also the only place you can get a California burrito in Tacoma.
