It was our very first time dining here, so we walked up and cashier took our order was great, but first thing is they are out of the croissant toast, so could not try the Monsiur sandwich, then I decided to get a half grilled cheese and corn chowder soup, as well the Philly cheese sandwich, my wife got a salad and she said they are out of Cucumbers if that was alright, so we had our food to go, so already out of bread then another item, after leaving a great Tip for the cashier , then our order gets called and we leave I get into the car to check our order and was missing the soup, as well bacon on the mac and cheese, so had to go back inside and ask the manager lady that we are missing items then she shows me the receipt and the cashier didn’t give us the deal and only rang up half grilled cheese and no soup. So I had to go wait in line another 5-8 mins about four people ahead of me, order my cup of corn chowder and turns out the soup alone was $9/$10 bucks, so was already a bit mad had to wait in line, tipped well and they missed a item and let alone pay for a small $10 soup that didn’t have tortilla strips, so get back to the car and saw they only gave us regular mac and cheese, so had to go back inside and show my receipt and the Mac and cheese and let the manager lady know so she grabbed a hand full of bacon and put it on. Okay great that works I guess, but was very displease with the service and the quality of food and was very let down on the food itself, the cheesesteak was still red/raw, the soup had not tortilla strips like the picture, we didn’t get the half deal for the soup and paid full price for the smallest cup not filled, the bread was out as well cucumbers. The restaurant had a bunch of dirty tables and trash on floors. Was very surprised on how this restaurant chain was ran and if the others are like this. Was not a great feeling paying $65 bucks for basically a sub-par meal and don’t know if it’s this location or how this company runs its places but I don’t know if me and my wife would try it out again. We live in Alaska and never been to one before and for a first time was...
Read morePanera bread NATIONWIDE has gone downhill. This used to be one of our favorite places to go to eat, chat and enjoy really fun tasty food. No more! The whole menu has changed. They don’t have many of the favorite menu items. My favorites were Sierra turkey sandwich on specialty bun. Broccoli cheese soup and a Lemon drop cookie. The Sierra turkey a few years ago went “off menu” but one could get it if asked for. No longer. They don’t have any buns now. Only breads and they aren’t what they used to be.
Another change is they no longer have the red buzzer to notify you to pick up your food. So you either stand in a crowded pick up aisle with a dozen other people for 1/2 for half an hour or you have to get up and down every ten minutes to check if your order is ready. You cannot hear your name called as they don’t use a speaker or microphone.
And the clutter at the bussing area is piled high with dirty dishes to wade through. Patrons should not be subjected to other peoples food mess. It’s gross and unsanitary.
Finally, there were booth benches along the very back wall. There were only two very small additional booths in the center. The rest of the dining area was small tables. Not comfortable or conducive to eating and visiting with friends.
I tried out a Panera where we visit in Manassas VA and thought it was just that store that was awful. It turns out Panera has a new business model that does not take customer satisfaction into consideration. So we will foregoing Panera bread...
Read moreI placed my order through rapid pick up (which is very much not rapid) and got an order confirmation email at 4:43PM. At 5:08PM, I got a text stating that my order was ready, but when I went up to the pick-up counter, there was no order. It took a good 5 minutes to get anyone's attention and when I finally did, I was asked "Do you have kids?" answer being no. So I find out that there were two little kids that came up to the pick up counter and stole my order. They let me know that they will have to make it again. About 25 minutes later, the manager comes out and started checking receipts to make sure people were getting their correct orders, because apparently it wasn't just me that this happened to, multiple other people got their food stolen because none of the workers were paying attention. About 5 minutes after the manager comes out, I'm still waiting of my food so I tell the manager my situation and I’m about to ask for a refund when I'm cut off by her saying that they are bagging my food now, and gave me a half-hearted apology. There also was no compensation for the hour I wasted in that place. The unprofessionalism, lack of communication and major disorganization is absolutely ridiculous. I understand that it was a Sunday and that it was busy, so I had no issue waiting the initial 20 minutes for my food, it was what happened after that that irritated me severely. I highly suggest going to a Panera Bread with a drive thru, since they can’t even care to keep tabs on...
