Taco Time NW — Restaurant in Tacoma

I have never done this but it needed to happen. Taco Time is one of my favorite places to go. I used to work there for years and appreciate all that is put in to making the food. Unfortunately tonight was a different experience, one I have not experienced at taco time before. The manager on for the night I believe her name is Madison was so disrespectful to my mother when she called about a mess up on an order I had just picked up (Beef mexi platter, but got a bean burrito instead, the receipt shows they were in the wrong ). My mother has a slight speech Impediment and must speak slowly, this manager had no regard for being patient and listening to what she had to say about the mess up and then continued to say my mother was wrong because she packed that meal herself. This was my wife and I’s first experience with Taco Time when we vacationed in the state a couple of weeks ago. Taco Time composts everything they give you so you leave without trashing up the planet. We’re both vegetarians and I was diagnosed with Celiac last fall and the friendly staff couldn’t have been more helpful in guiding us through options that worked for us. I had the Baja Taco Pinto Beans both times and they were fresh, flavorful and you have to order the Tater fries. Anyone who’s lived with Del Taco or Taco Time knows potatoes and Mexi-inspired food go perfect together! I looked the company up and they seem to treat their employees well with 401k and more. This isn’t about everyone who works here. It’s only about the crew working January 28th at 7:30pm. I stressed NO tomatoes on my tostada salad. I am highly allergic to them. Said at speaker no tomatoes. Double checked when I made sure at window. She said no tomatoes. Get home open my salad & there’s 3 chunks of tomatoes. Not about to drive all the way back. Just a waste of money because they didn’t listen. Tossed in garbage. When the other workers see this they’ll know exactly who I am. They’re all very careful about the tomato allergy.
