Taqueria Los Grandes Amigos — Restaurant in Tacoma

I dunno what happened to this place but this is the second time they have got the order wrong. On top of that the customer service is awful. When you order 1 nachos, 1 taco salad and 4 spicy pork tacos but receive 1 nachos and 2 plates of 4 steak tacos theres the first oops. On top of that this was a take out order so it wasnt noticed until it was brought home. Then upon returning the cashier and the cook doubted the mess up even tho 1 of the steak taco plates was returned. I feel as tho there is a huge communication breakdown between the front and the kitchen. When you work the front you double check the orders and when you cook you follow what is printed out by the front counter. Its really simple and crucial for a restaurant business to get this down. Wow. Husband placed an order, brought the food home and we were happily surprised with the servings! Everything looked prepared beautifully, and the smell, oh my gosh the smell! Made my mouth water before we got it unpackaged.

Their tacos (we had biirria) were delicious and my husband got the california fries and again they were spot on. Sometimes things can blend together and be mushy, this was not the case. Stopped to have dinner before the movie started at the theater on 84th street. I could tell as soon as I walked in that I was going to like this place. It just has an inviting atmosphere. I was pleasantly surprised at the low prices. The burrito plate that I ordered was only $14.00. It had the steak burrito rice and beans. There was so much delicious food on the plate that I couldn’t finish it and was sad that I couldn’t take the left overs as it was really warm outside and I was going to be in the movie theater for a couple hours.
