I don't know if they changed management or not but it is piss poor. Last night went there with group of friends and family. The server we had came out to take our drink orders and then said hey I recognize you guys, leaves and then come back with an old receipt and said you guys had the tower and didn't pay your check. Sooo looking confused we told him we don't know what you are talking about so he leaves and go get the manager. Soon as the manager approached the table he immediately says you guys didn't pay your check the last time you was here and hand to pay it now before you get anything else. We as a group preceded to inform him the last time we was there was a couple of months ago and we did take care of our bill. While the server is smiling the manager said no we didn't and show us the receipt that had the date of August 28th at 2 something in the afternoon with an American express card. Now mind you no one in our group has that type of card, secondly nobody in the group name was on the receipt and thirdly the last time we were there as a group was on June 2nd after an event we went to. The manager goes on and on about how it was us etc so I told the manager that was incorrect and the date and time during that transaction we were all at work which by the way nobody in the group works close to the restaurant. As the server and manager talk in Spanish thinking that no one at the table could translate he asked him are you sure it's them and is not a mistake with the server replying saying yes it is them and I'm sure and the card declined. The manager preceeded to stress that the bill needed to be paid because the card declined and he's losing out on money. At this point very upset and the fact accused us of not paying the bill and knew for a fact it was us so of course asked for the video of the camera to be shown since it apparently just happened a week ago. The manager refused to show proof on his end so while the rest of the group was expressing their disappointment in how everything was happening I pulled up the pictures I had in my phone that was time and date stamped. I told the manager that he was completely out of line and was highly unprofessional accusing us of running out on a bill when he didn't have sold evidence. I preceeded to show him all the pictures that I had that included pictures we took at the table of the food and the receipt that was paid and had the date of June 2nd on there showing the last time we were there. In the end we got up and left because even after showing our evidence the manager never showed his and was still trying to get us to pay for some one else bill. Never again..... you don't have to worry about no one from our group going back there ever again. Highly unacceptable and very unprofessional and not going to spend money where not...
Read more10/8/2024, 8:25 PM I walked into Casa Grande, where there was a small to normal crowd sitting for dinner, hoping for a quick and easy takeaway meal. Instead, I found myself stepping into a vortex of neglect. Not even the slightest acknowledgment from the staff. As I stood at the counter, menu in hand, anticipating a seamless experience, I was instead greeted with cold indifference.
Five excruciating minutes pass before a server deigned to recognize my presence. When I expressed my desire to place a to-go order, her response was âok one momentâ. I thought she was coming back to place my order and she never returned.
Seven more minutes dragged on, each second emphasizing my status as an invisible entity in their eyes. A kind gentleman adorned with a gold half-heart charm inscribed with âAMOâ repeated the futile query: âHow may I help you?â
The so-called manager, entrenched in her position behind the same counter I was standing, remained consciously oblivious to my growing frustration, despite hearing my repeated requests. Her inaction spoke volumes about the establishmentâs disdain for basic customer service.
After 15-17 agonizing minutes of being treated like a ghost, I had no choice but to leave. The wait time wasnât the issueâit was the blatant disrespect and lack of professionalism. With no rush of patrons around, the negligence was inexcusable.
Professionalism, kindness, and respect for a customerâs time arenât optionalâtheyâre fundamental. Casa Grandeâs blatant disregard for these principles is appalling. This review isnât just a critique; itâs a plea for change. I hope the very rude and unqualified employee reads this review and sees it as an opportunity to do betterâŚor simply to the job you were hired to do. We all have bad days, but Miss Employee when you have a bad day, do us all a favor and stay home.
Next time, Iâll spare myself the ordeal and make...
Read moreSince LA Fiesta closed, Casa Grande has been our go-to for Mexican food. Compared to other Mexican restaurants, they are the most consistent in service, quality, and quantity. Our go-to are the al pastor (updated, not carnitas) street taco and chicken taquitos, which are pictured. Their birria is best as the quesidilla, in my opinion, and their flautas are decent too. The salsa is always on point and great to mix with their chicken based dishes.
If you're looking for drinks, their margaritas are almost always more boozy than their competitors.
In terms of atmosphere, they're always loud when it's busy. Parents do seem to let their children run free, so that can be annoying when its indoors. However, there is also an outdoor area where you can sit and eat while kids play. There is some sort of expansion going on in that area, but im not sure what it's for.
UPDATE: they added more outdoor space. There's also a sign on the door saying there is an 18% gratuity on Fridays and Saturdays for outdoor seating. This is when there is usually lolive music.
When this place gets packed, parking can be extremely difficult. There's also a lot of pot holes in the lots.
Update 2: This is specifically on drinks. We've had a few of the various cocktails or mixed drinks over the year. You cannot go wrong on the house margarita original flavor. Unfortunately, the other drinks disappoint. I ordered a hurricane tonight (10/23) and it tasted almost exclusively of coconut. The waitress didn't acknowledge the drink being touched so at the end when I went to pay I mentioned something. They offered to make something else but at point I was done and ready to leave. I appreciate the remake offer but we were clearly ready to leave. Outside of that, the waitress did a good job tonight. The drink issue brought the overall rating down to a 4. There will be no further updates as...
