Quite the Lucky Goat I am to have found Goodies Eatery on College Avenue in Tallahassee, Florida.

In all actuality, I have eaten at Goodies Eatery on a handful of occasions when visiting the state capitol. Fast, friendly and polite service - they deliver as well.

For breakfast I typically order the bacon, egg, and cheese bagel at $4.09. As for coffee, it's the Lucky Goat in several different varieties. Eating in, your coffee is served in a ceramic mug. Taking it "to go" - your coffee is served in a "to go" cup.

When ordering lunch, it's usually the Gobble Goodie, which is sliced turkey breast on whole wheat, topped with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, sprouts and veggie spread at $6.25. I'm a cheapskate, so it's water as my beverage. That's free.

Convenient downtown location near the state capitol. Parking is tight, but as I mentioned - they deliver. I know this because they have delivered to my hotel on two separate occasions. Turn around time was about 25 minutes. Not bad.

I work downtown, and about ten years ago, I used to eat at Goodies frequently. Then, the food quality began to slip, and I started choosing other options. Because it had been so long since I'd last eaten there, I decided recently to try them again, thinking, maybe things have improved. Unfortunately for me, they have not - I received a stale bagel and there was dirt/sand in my salad. The staff who took my phone order and delivered my food were both wonderful, but if the food isn't fresh and clean, their efforts aren't enough to bring me back there in the...

Very cramped eating area, yet still cozy.

Sandwich was dry, barely any sauce/spread. Ordered the tomato bisque on a cool day. I received a bowl of water with a hint of tomato. I asked to exchange it for the chicken noodle, hoping for something more hearty. Another bowl of water with falling apart overcooked noodles and one piece of carrot. The celery disintegrated as I ate it. Even more overcooked than the noodles.

Will definitely not come back for either soup or a sandwich. That makes this place a glorified Lucky Goat...

Cute cafe, with helpful staff. My meal, which consisted of the turkey club on wheat bread, a bag of classic Lays, and a large coke was just shy of $19 and that included a tip. The best part of the sandwich wad the bacon and the well toasted bread, and overall was decent. I think its a bit much for lunch when the bread isn't made in store, but I'd come here again if I'm in the area.

First time there, we ordered a grilled cheese and a Rueben (excellent) but the grilled cheese was definitely disappointing. The cheese was provolone but it either was super melted or not there. The pictures below show the size of it too. We will be back because they have a Lucky Goat coffee bar and breakfast food we wanted to try Just hoping this helps.

I got a tuna salad salad and my husband got a Monster turkey sandwich. It was reasonable. The salad (I soon learned) is from a salad bar. I highly recommend ordering the salad, because you get to truly build your own salad. There were pastries and on the other side of the restaurant is where the hot drinks are (I also later learned).
