Menu is very simple. Prices are very reasonable. Although it’s pretty basic for a diner, the food is well-portioned, and perfectly cooked with surprisingly high-quality ingredients. Servers are attentive, kind, and considerate, even when you’d expect them to be overwhelmed by the high customer/server ratio. Environment is clean and comfortable. This place had the spirit of a cozy local spot where you might go to read the paper over some coffee and good food, and yet, even on a packed Saturday morning, it ran like a well-oiled machine. There was some groovy music playing at low volume, so you can still hear conversations well, even on days where every seat is full of happy, chatting families. I’m taken aback by their perfect balance of simplicity and mastery. It’s rare to see such a humble restaurant with employees who clearly take a lot of pride in their work. This might be my new favorite restaurant, and I’m not even that big on diners.

P.S. I had the bacon bleu burger, and I highly recommend it. That jalapeƱo bacon jam was a...

We stopped in at 9:00 on a Saturday morning during their second week in business. We miss the diners that we used to frequent when we lived in the Northeast, so were eager to give Ma's a try.

The menu is exactly what you'd expect from a local diner. I wanted to try a few things (plus I was hungry) so I went with the build your own breakfast: 2 eggs, scrambled; biscuit which the server said was not made in house but was baked in house; sausage party; grits; and 3 pancakes. The eggs were expertly cooked, better than I've had at most places in town. The grits could have used salt and, candidly, were not very warm. The biscuit and sausage were ok. The pancakes, however, were excellent.

The room has 7 tables and 8 seats at the counter. So you will likely wait a little at busy times. We loved the vintage turntable console as you walk in, and the functioning vintage turntable in the back playing tunes. And one of the cutest touches was the tiny milk bottles that they give you with the coffee. You can squeeze or just the...

Wife and I visited on a Sunday morning and we were treated with excellent service and food all around. It was a team effort for service and it was probably some of the best breakfast service we have ever had.

Atmosphere was great. Quiet and a great small diner feel with modern touches and exactly what I would want for a peaceful Sunday morning breakfast with my wife.

Food was the perfect speed to come out. Not too fast where you wonder if it was made when you got here, but not slow at all. Great speed. When the food came out it was incredibly fresh and the quality of the ingredients and cook on everything was perfect.

I got the chicken and waffles and portion was on point. I wish the chicken had a bit more seasoning in the batter but over all great chicken strips for sure.

Wife got the bannerman bowl with veggie sausage and the veggie sausage was great too!

Great vegetarian options, quality food and service and we will absolutely be coming back here again. One of the best breakfast spots in...

You know a place is good when it’s the locals’ Go To for breakfast. The staff greeted several people by name, which tells me a lot about their fare, and even more about their customer service. My friend and I had the oft-served Two Egg Breakfast and the Bannerman Bowl. The former with lots of breakfast favorites on a platter, the latter with anything that wasn’t on that platter in a bowl with grits. Both were fabulous! I have to make special mention of the biscuit, because it was a real southern flaky soft biscuit. I’ve eaten lots of biscuits, even in places that name themselves after their biscuits, and this topped them. This was the kind of biscuit your grandma was rolling out well before you were born and sustaining families on for breakfast and supper every day. Gotta get a biscuit. Enjoy your meal AND get a T-shirt. There will be a wait, but it’ll be worth it.

Ma's Diner is an absolute gem! The moment I walked in, I was charmed by the eclectic vibe, the music was playing on a real old-school record player, with nostalgic decor like a cassette tape player, Polaroid cameras, and a classic push-button rotary phone on display. It felt like stepped into my grandparents home. The staff here work seamlessly as a team. They were friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm. Now, the food? Absolutely fresh and full of flavor! The hominy cheese grits instantly took me back to childhood, and the veggie sausage patty was thoughtfully prepared separately from the other meats—huge plus for vegetarians. The raisin bread toast was the perfect finishing touch. Thanks, to everyone, for the delicious food and the heartwarming experience. My tummy and soul are grateful!šŸ’•šŸ˜‹
