I feel like two stars maybe a little too generous as I can never get over at the comical Adventures of going to the Tallahassee area McDonald's.
Tallahassee and Panama City are some of the worst labor markets in the State of Florida and it clearly shows.
We've installed a double drive-thru in an effort to move the lawn faster and take multiple orders at the same time. It never works like that because the stores could not afford to staff to Cashiers to take orders at the same time. If the other car is ordering you have to sit and look at the menu until they're done.
They still need to drive through employees to work the two windows and in order for the system to work properly they probably need a third taking orders also but it's never in the Labor budget for them to have it properly stabs like that. Their management needs to dedicate all drive-thru positions 100% from open to close in order to grow their sales.
Of course this means upper management would have to give them increase labor budgets and seeing as how we're working on trying to pay McDonald's employees 10 to $15 an hour to do a minimum wage job it's not going to happen very soon.
When I arrived at the speaker as I sat and waited when the vehicle in the other lane finally finished ordering as it was a large order the response I got was hello and not in the most Pleasant tone.
Although my order is usually a complicated one of the cashier was successful it take. I got through the payment window pretty quick the cashier was helpful. When I got to the pickup window the plastic fork are requested to be in the bag so I usually just get a grilled chicken breast was there.
Unfortunately the vehicle ahead of me with that large order had pulled up just a little bit and come to a complete stop so I could not pull out of line. The cashier at that window had done a poor job directing or making the customer had a meet understand they need to pull out and the one of the parking spaces and wait.
However she immediately fix this by hanging out the window and hollering to the customer to please pull forward! At least she said please. Are the comical Adventures of going to McDonald's!
By the way McDonald's is Kali down to the food safety moms buy no longer offering chopped peanuts for their Sundays that I grew up loving as a child so I will no longer be consuming McDonald's sundaes.
This was voice dictated without checking to see if anything was grammatically correct so if it's not please forgive me.
The redneck food...
Read moreThis McDonald's was a quick stop on a road trip just to grab a frappe and something to eat. I ordered online and chose to go in for pickup, to use the facilities. We arrived and it was SUPER crowded. We expected some crowding because of the location so that wasn't an issue. However - the doors had signs that welcomed you to come in, that masks were required (no problem! I'm a mask wearer!) so my husband went up and was met with a locked door. He came back to the car and told me, then we saw a group of people leave. At this point my husband was done and wanted me to cancel the order. I asked him to just go through the drive thru and we would get it. The drive thru was NOT moving. So he pulled around to the other side and parked in the pickup lane and I went to the door on the otherwise. It too was locked. But a nice young man came to the door and told me that the dining room was closed. When I told him that I was supposed to pick up an order, he told me to hold on. There were people IN the restaurant, but I was told they were closed. 🤔 What seemed to be a manager came hurrying to the door with an order for outside. She asked me what I needed and told me they were closed. I told her I had a pickup order. She said she'd bring it right out. So I went back to my car. A few minutes later, she came out with our order and apologized for the wait. She and the young man were both very nice, and that is the two stars. The food was ok. The frappes were WAY TOO sweet! If they close the dining room in the MIDDLE OF THE DAY ( this was about 1-2 pm) then there should be some indication of such. It's very disconcerting when you see people coming out, who clearly are not employees, and you are being denied entrance. I'll know better next time not to stop...
Read moreKids begged for McDonalds (Curse you happy meal toys), and I had the thought of making it a special mommy date out and took them inside to eat. Horrible decision. It was hot and muggy/musty inside, like the air was broken. We were the only customer inside besides lots of employees I can only assume were on break? The employee at the register looked at me like she didn't know why I was standing at the counter, when I was waiting to order. She just glared at me until I finally asked if there was a register open for me to order at. They were out of ice in the first drink machine I tried, and out of power aid in both drink machines, and totally out of napkins in the "dining room" and none were given to me on my tray. I then had to go stand at the counter where I was again ignored for a couple minutes until I finally said "excuse me, there aren't any napkins." Without saying a word or making any facial expressions she handed me a stack of napkins and turned around. And the littlest had to potty, and I wish I had NEVER stepped foot in that bathroom. There were puddles of standing water everywhere. And no it did not smell freshly cleaned, so I'm inclined to think it was the disgusting standing water you'd find in a bathroom, not mop water. The puddles were much to big for mop water anyways...
I was grossed out by the whole experience. Nothing positive or negative to say about the food, it tasted like typical McDonals, and they fries were cold like usual...
Never step foot inside here. If your kids like the food, stick to the drive through. But your best bet is to never come. That's...
