UPDATE* after being told NEW TEMP plate shipped overnight on 4/15/25 I did receive the new temp plate, it was SHIPPED 4/17/25 NOT 4/15 and WAS shipped overnight. So it took the reviews I left to get a little action done. SO I'm good for another 30 days....let's see if they can light a fire under their "THIRD PARTY registration transfer agent, WHOM they refuse to identify....which tells me it's their own office...but whatever... Let's see how long it takes for the City to receive the title/registration information and PAYMENTS. so far it's been over 30 days.... HMMM, if they had let ME do it, it would be DONE by now. SO I'm certain I'll have to front the $6000 AGAIN and get it done myself, then fight with them and their "3rd Party" for a refund. CRAZY. No one "REQUIRED" them to collect Maine Sales tax or Excise tax (PER STATE OF MAINE) THEY elected to do so themselves.....a not so bright thing. I could have Paid the City and the State by now and been DONE with this fiasco.
BUT I DID FINALLY GET THE NEW TEMP PLATE for my out of state travels. I return early May so let's see what the status is upon return* Stay tuned for update #2.
Started off 5 star. Claude was WONDERFUL and honest. The "closing" of the purchase was forever long (over 4 hours), but that had something to do with out of state purchasing, but not all. SO it's over 30 days since I purchased my GLS580 from Capital Eurocars and I'm having HORRID COMMUNICATION PROBLEMS with the finance and tag side of the dealership. They said they were required to collect excise tax and sales tax for the out of state transaction for which they give to a "third party" to distribute and send to my state for registration. SUUURRREEE I'm out a BUNCH of money now, well over $5000 and am headed to a lawyer. I'm FED UP. I get ZERO communication. I'm told the tag info was sent to the 3rd party. THEY REFUSE TO TELL ME WHO THE 3rd PARTY IS and WHERE the 3rd party is sending MY MONEY. There are a number of WRONG places they could be sending to my state and this state is archaic, so finding this money is next to impossible WITHOUT INFORMATION! I can't get tracking numbers, I get NOTHING. I've asked about a dozen times.... NOTHING. THEN I get :"If the state doesn't receive the info prior to the temp tag expiring, we will overnight a new tag to you" LIE AGAIN!!! My tag expires 4/15. On 4/14 I was "ASSURED" a new tag was "overnighted" and it would arrive 4/15. I asked WHAT ADDRESS WAS IT SENT TO.....I CAN'T get an answer. She can't tell me. WHERE IS THE TRACKING #????? she said she'd provide.... NOTHING. I'm stuck with an $80,000 vehicle that I can't drive legally. AND I can't get any answers. I feel like I've been scammed BIG TIME. ALL I've asked for is COMMUNICATION. COMMUNICATE. THEY CAN'T seem to do that!!
The sales process was WONDERFUL, the after process is a NIGHTMARE! COMMUNICATION SUCKS.
One more item I have is when the dealer prepped the vehicle they broke the passenger mirror and left it saying nothing. LUCKILY when we got into the vehicle, the warning light was on stating there was an error, so we looked at the mirror, found it basically falling off and inoperable. WHICH WAS NOT TEH CASE AT THE TEST DRIVE as no warning happened... it happened when they prepped for pick up or drove it to us, they hit another vehicle. SO they politely agreed to replace the mirror and the service has been spectacular about it. THAT appointment is coming up in about 2 weeks.... we shall see how that goes.
NOW IF I HAD LEGAL TEMP tags. State police pulled up behind me yesterday, didn't stop me I'm sure as it was only a day expired...but he will next time....

Read moreHORRIBLE SERVICE DEPARTMENT!!!!! I had some of the worst experiences with the service department at this dealership!! So horrible that recently I traded my 2016 Mercedes Benz because I Absolutely hated taking it to this dealership. One incident I made a reservation for a service appointment requesting a loaner because I m in the medical field a had to be at work for a procedure with my cardiologist. I was told that I could not get a loaner car because this particular service would only only take 30 -40 mins. Unfortunately for me it took 2hrs and I was extremely late to work not to meantion the drive there took an additional 45mins since I work in Thomasville. I was almost 3 hrs late for work. I was so humiliated,angry,and embarrassed. Never in my life have I ever been this late for work. Of course I should have been written up but my office manager empathized with me regarding the situation. She too expected better from Mercedes!!! To compensate me for the inconvenience I was tolded by the service manager ,Joe next time to talk directly to my representative( Joe Turzzo)! I couldn't believe it!! It was as if no one care about the inconvenience to me. Oh but they rush to get my car service done faster! The next service I had to have I decided to let my fiance take my car and drop it off for. I just had a fear that something would go wrong like last time and I didn't want to be written up at work. I made the reservation with my service rep just as I was advised and requested a loaner car for my fiance. He assure me that he would have one available for him upon his arrival. When my fiance arrived early that morning to drop off my car there was no loaner car available. He was told that they would shuttle him to enterprise to get a vehicle contracted through Mercedes. They dropped him off at enterprise and left him. When he was finally waited on at enterprise, he was told that didn't have anymore loaner vehicles. He waited 2hrs for the Captiol Euro shuttle bus to pick him back up and set there for hours waiting on them to finish the service. He missed two important business meetings. When I spoke to my service representative (Joe Turzzo) he apologized and said that he could give me 10% off my service! Are you kidding me!!! This was horrible service and bigger slap in the face offering me 10% to compensate for the inconvenience. I begin to think what if I would have taken my car myself, I would have been written up for being late. The worst part is no one seemed to care! The sad part is I loved Mercedes and recently got approved to buy a new Mercedes. My dream car is the CLS 450. I decided not to get it now because this is the dealership that would have to service it and I was told Albany is even worst by one of my patients!! I loved my mercedes but hate having it serviced at this dealership!!! I traded it because the service experience was truly horrible and I dreaded taking it there!!! I do expect more from Mercedes!!! I have recently spoken to someone who said he is sorry I had those experiences but he had never. That was good know. Unfortunately this was my experience and I will never forget it! I was always told they were short staff when my services would take a while but is this really the customer's problem! Mercedes moto is The Best or Nothing. Read moreI will try to be brief with this review. However I purchased a vehicle from Capital Eurocars last month on August 1 2023. When i purchased the vehicle I noticed that the brakes were squealing when I back into my parking space and when I am in drive thru's. I reached out to my sales rep and let him know about the issue and he had me bring the vehicle in to try and diagnose the issue. So of course he states he didn't hear anything and that if the issue continued then bring it in and get it checked out. Quite naturally the issue was still present so he takes me to a service adviser and they drive the car and claim they don't hear anything. The service advisor proceeds to tell me that the brakes are supposed to squeal especially in the morning blah blah blah. This isn't my first vehicle and I know that brakes aren't supposed to be making a squealing noise unless there is an issue some where. I continued to hear the noise and I made an appointment on August 15 2023 and they had available today September 5 2023. I made the appointment for 11am and low and behold the same service advisor just so happens to be my advisor today and he told me the same thing. I noticed there was no windshield wiper fluid in the car when I first purchased the vehicle, when the a/c is turned on sitting idle the car vibrates, when I back up I am still hearing the brakes squeal and even when I am pressing the brakes moving forward, and I have an issue with the steering wheel. He pretty much brushed off my concerns and talked to me as if I were dumb and didn't comprehend what was going on. As i stated to him, this isn't my first car and I know what I am supposed to hear and not hear I work in customer service so I know how to handle situations and how to treat customers and this advisor was not the best. He then offered to keep my vehicle for about about two weeks and I be without a vehicle with no solution. I am highly disappointed in the level of service I received and I would not recommend Capital Eurocars to anyone. I guess I will have to go to another Mercedes dealership to get better customer service. My service advisor was William G(forgot how to spell his last name). The only solution today was the wasted time and I still don't still have my washer fluid in my car smh. Avoid this dealership if you are expecting stellar service because you definitely won't get it...
