I have met the manager here, developed entire applications as a software engineer. I want to preface this with the fact that I am a regular and I visit here at least twice a week as a part of my morning routine.
In my morning routine, I come here all the time. Iāve seen many people come in here, use the restroom and then order. Today, however, a disheveled Caucasian lady needed the restroom my wife was in. Unfortunately for my wife, it was her time of the month and she was taking significantly longer than usual. I witnessed a worker walk up and tell my wife, āI work for Starbucks. Sorry, but I will call the police if you are not out of the bathroom by the time I come back.ā I mean the guy yelled it.
The taller, slim melanated man went ahead and threatened by wife. He embarrassed my wife, and if I was a lesser manāI wouldāve helped him with a friendly conversation outside of the establishment hours, after his shift. Not only that, but she did the same thing the day before.
Not only that, but the other bathroom WAS AVAILABLE! He checked the other bathroom, and didnāt even redirect the lady there. I donāt know if it was classism, racism, or he wanted to specifically disrespect me and my wife.
I donāt know why I was treated that way after spending many many hundreds of hours and dollars there for work. I WILL NOT BE BACK.
For anyone who has kids, needs to use the restroom after drinking some cold foam, or maybe you just have bowel issuesāI DO NOT recommend this Starbucks. Do the drive through and keep going.
All do the employees there were standard for the shift also, so it may have just been an off day, but I donāt care how off your day is, why embarrass someone for things they canāt control, not even knowing their situation. At that, didnāt even off help or anything of the sort, immediately went to an extreme.
The manager and hiring team there are generally cool people but maybe you have to fit the clientele demographic to attend regularly? Either way, I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHi, my name is Emily, and I'm addicted to starbucks (just kidding, sort of). I have been going to starbucks every single day in all different locations in 2 different states for a little over 7 years now and I've come across some amazing baristas and amazing store teams but this one shines the brightest. Because I go so frequently, and generally try to stick to one location if I can, the baristas get to know me fairly quickly. And usually it's just a few that go out of their way every day to greet me by my name when I walk in and ask me how I'm doing (since yesterday š) but this location in particular, it seems every single person is just a customer service Rockstar. And when your spending $11 a day on a drink, that makes it a little easier to swallow. And while everyone, and I mean everyone in this location shines, there is one person in particular that deserves to be recognized, and that's Ben. Ben without fail, every single day, looks up every time I open the door and smiles nice and big and tells me good morning. He will immediately start personally making my drink while I order and if he's not asking me how I'm doing or making small talk, he's singing to whatever song is on the radio and he sounds AMAZING. He's always positive, kind and most of all genuine. In a world where everything costs so much and I don't even go out to eat anymore because everywhere is twice as much and food is terrible and the service is even worse, it's always nice to walk into MY starbucks and know that Ben will be there singing with a smile and always make my drink to perfection. So thank you Ben, and the whole Mahan Starbucks team for showing that you can still find quality food service,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis Starbucks (SB) on I-10 (x253-Live Oak/Jasper) needs a LOT and was the most surreal SB Iāve ever been in. And Iāve spent a lot of time in Seattle area, Portland, Alaska and thru-out the US. I came in around 10:30 a.m. It had several long conference like tables with a seating capacity of 180. There were 5 employees working the front and drive thru. Another guy came in apparently to do time sheets or inventory maybe? There were 5 customers in the store during the 11 minutes I stood there watching and waiting for my simple grande breve (hot-no flavor). The young blonde who took my order never engaged with me altho I chatted with her and Iām unsure she ever looked at me. I watched her move around like a zombie. I assume she was stoned to the max. She picked something up, looked around, sat it down, walked over to the back counter, stood there, turned around, picked something else up and carried to the original front counter and sat it down. Another female worked the front counter and (likely assisted the drive thru). She did engage with the 2 younger females ordering multiple drinks. Two other females worked the drive thru much more efficiently. A younger guy was there with full multi-colored eye shadows and something tiny and round glued or perched on the tip of his nose. But he did smile! No one else engaged the customers. At all. The restroom was untidy. Oh, and the espresso was ā ehhhh. I assume most ppl pass through as opposed to being a regular customer so they donāt need repeat business? I donāt know. I go that way probably 10+ times a year. I was happy to see a store was being built. Now? I felt like I was in a...
