Cali Coffee — Restaurant in Tamarac

I really want to love this place… but the drinks keep letting me down.

We ordered three frozen drinks — The Gold Rush, The Beverly, and a Creamsicle shake. The only one worth finishing? The Creamsicle. The Gold Rush and The Beverly were supposed to be caramel & white chocolate / caramel & vanilla, but all we got was bitter, burnt-tasting coffee. They were so bad we literally added our own caramel at home just to make them drinkable.

This was my third visit, and I keep hoping things will improve… but no luck. I even brought my niece (a huge Dutch Bros fan) and her only comment was, “Well… it definitely wasn't Dutch Bros.”

On the bright side, the staff is super friendly, even if waiting in that line feels like forever. A little speaker-side friendliness does go a long way — now if only the drinks could...

Cali Coffee on McNab in Tamarac is such a gem. I get the latte with macadamia milk — it’s so good it doesn’t even need sweetener (though I still add Splenda!). The sugar-free sodas are also a hit with my kids.

I’ve been here twice, and both times the staff was incredibly friendly, upbeat, and happy to help me pick flavors. Whoever’s doing the hiring deserves credit — you can tell they choose people who actually enjoy being there. The vibe is always positive and welcoming.

On May 2nd around 5 p.m., a young gentleman took my order and was so polite and kind!

I don’t see myself going back to the big chain coffee places anytime soon. I’m really glad a spot like this...

Couldn't even give negative stars. Waited in line for 25 minutes with the girl in the driveway just Chattering her WHOLE life away. Like I know more about what she likes and does just by how loud she was and I had my windows down waiting behind the car she was talking to.. Young people like that destroy businesses for hard working people who invest in them.. Need to do better and handle time better as well. They didnt even take our order at the screen, I ended up having to drive off after her talking 2,000 words per minutes.. She has 0 urgency for the line being built up behind the car she was sharing her biography with. Definitely letting everyone know about this...
