I need to hop on here and write this because I want it to reach the staff. YOURE. ALL. WONDERFUL. I come in every Wednesday with my dog, read my book (which a bunch of the staff come talk to me about which is my favorite), have my favorite breakfast (breakfeista bowl and one GF pancake), I get my iced coffee and it is my favorite part of the week. I work an astronomical amount and coming in there is my reprieve from reality. I came in this morning because I worked the last two Wednesdays and I couldn’t follow my routine. I sat outside and was privy to a table of people who beheld one of the most abhorrent human beings I have ever experienced. Not only did she ruin my little bubble of peace that I have grown accustomed to, but she made everyone around them uncomfortable- so much so that the gentleman sitting with the horrible human apologized to me as I left. I left very rattled and upset, just sad for the employees that I have come to appreciate and respect, sad that they had to deal with such a disgusting human. I have worked in the service industry for over a decade, and I know not every guest is going to be the best, but some common respect and decency is the foundation to which all public experiences should be build on. So - to Katelyn (their server) I commend you and I hope that your day turns into one of the most incredible days ever, even with such a foul start. To the rest of the staff, you’re wonderful and I love talking to you. You make amazing food and just have the most sunshiney disposition, which is why I keep coming back. To the girl who decided to be a racist, homophobic, loud mouthed, disgusting human at 730 am on a Friday morning - I hope you read this and know that it’s not your world to behave like a fool...
Read moreThe best breakfast place ever!! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The decor was so cute, sort of a beachy/vw bus/atomic age diner vibe. It made for a wonderful atmosphere, where everyone seemed to be in a great mood. It was pretty packed but we were seated right away. I’m sure there’s a wait on Saturday and Sunday though. But I definitely think it would be worth a half hour wait. Now most importantly the food was incredible!! You need to try the Cap’n Crunch French toast. It doesn’t just have chunks of dry cereal on top, it’s ground up enough to give the flavor but still add a little extra crunch (without cutting the roof of your mouth lol). It’s not overly sweet and is fantastic with or without syrup. I’m gonna be trying to recreate it until I have a chance to come back down. The Mexican omelette was delicious. The eggs were fluffy and all the ingredients were so fresh and went together perfectly. The blueberry pancake while simple was delicious as well. The little hint of cinnamon took it to the next level. The home fries were different than what we generally get but we absolutely loved them. And the everything bagel with cream cheese was delicious, toasted just enough, such a simple thing but it was done just right. I think you could order anything on the menu and be happy with it. I can’t wait to come back again and try new things (or maybe just get the French toast again).
Noise Sensitivity Warning* Because it’s delicious it was packed, so if you or someone you’ll be dining with have noise sensitivity issues you might want to sit outside. Or get a mimosa or two until the food comes lol jk but seriously it...
Read moreIf you've heard of this place, you likely know it is a hot spot, and the appeal is apparent! Is it busy? Sure. Is it crowded? Perhaps a little. But is the food worth the wait; is the atmosphere worth a little bit of closeness to your neighbor? Absolutely! Firstly, the selection of food is excellent. There are so many unique options to choose from, and everything we had was delicious! We had the Cap'n Cluck Bowl (Cap'n crunch French toast, eggs, and chicken tenders drizzled with Sriracha honey) and the Breakfast Burro (breakfast burrito with eggs, green peppers, tomatoes, pepper jack cheese, and home fries) with grits. Every bite was savored! There are also a variety of drink options, from mimosas and cocktails, to loaded milkshakes. Secondly, the service was great. We got there at a very busy time, and were seated in approximately 30 mins. The link they send with your confirmation text conveniently allows you to track your position in line with an accurate wait time. Our server was so sweet and attentive, and offered great recommendations. Thirdly, the atmosphere is the perfect combination of classic diner and hip and trendy hangout. We spotted several locals who frequent the place, always a good sign. The only "complaint" we would note is they have recently changed their ordering system, which means you cannot order premium options as sides. For example, I could order grits with my burrito, but they could not add cheese to them. I would have had to order a separate side of them. A little disappointing, but no big deal. We look forward to visiting again and trying...
