I need to hop on here and write this because I want it to reach the staff. YOURE. ALL. WONDERFUL. I come in every Wednesday with my dog, read my book (which a bunch of the staff come talk to me about which is my favorite), have my favorite breakfast (breakfeista bowl and one GF pancake), I get my iced coffee and it is my favorite part of the week. I work an astronomical amount and coming in there is my reprieve from reality. I came in this morning because I worked the last two Wednesdays and I couldn’t follow my routine. I sat outside and was privy to a table of people who beheld one of the most abhorrent human beings I have ever experienced. Not only did she ruin my little bubble of peace that I have grown accustomed to, but she made everyone around them uncomfortable- so much so that the gentleman sitting with the horrible human apologized to me as I left. I left very rattled and upset, just sad for the employees that I have come to appreciate and respect, sad that they had to deal with such a disgusting human. I have worked in the service industry for over a decade, and I know not every guest is going to be the best, but some common respect and decency is the foundation to which all public experiences should be build on. So - to Katelyn (their server) I commend you and I hope that your day turns into one of the most incredible days ever, even with such a foul start. To the rest of the staff, you’re wonderful and I love talking to you. You make amazing food and just have the most sunshiney disposition, which is why I keep coming back. To the girl who decided to be a racist, homophobic, loud mouthed, disgusting human at 730 am on a Friday morning - I hope you read this and know that it’s not your world to behave like a fool in. Do better.
