Georgia Boy Bbq — Restaurant in Tampa

I was really excited to try this place, all of their food sounded so good. It was about 5ish when I arrived and they were out of a few things. Ok, still. My husband and I got a 2 meat dinner to split, we were starving. Corned beef brisket was awesome, they were out of pork so he just took some ribs and cut up some meat, not the same but we'll deal. We got collars greens and the smoked candied yams, so excited but highly disappointed. Both right from the can. So just because you put some chopped stems in with the canned greens, they should look homemade, c'mon. The stems weren't even cooked correctly which also took from the flavor of the greens. And the yams, weren't even heated ont he grill to try to be called smoked, didn't even bother to cut the pieces up or jazz them up a bit?! I thought candies yams were supposed to have that sweet thicker glaze and maybe some marshmallows or something? Nothing, highly disappointed. I’m so disappointed in this food trailer. Just spent $96.00 on 2 oxtails plate. Ordered oxtails, green and Mac & cheese candy yams Side order of blue crab shrimp and rice. Oxtail was mix n with brisket given the impression that you got a good portion of oxtails. As I dug into the oxtails notice that it was sitting on a bed of rice. Also given the appearance that you were given more. The blue crab shrimp and rice was absolutely disgusting taste like it was spoiled. The candy yams and greens taste like it came out of a can. The Mac and cheese also disappointment. The only thing that came out good was the soda. $96.00 of food is going in the garage. Only reason why is because I live to far to take it back. If you see him out and want good food. Keep on going you will found another spot to eat at.. please don’t waste you...

I did a door dash order from this restaurant and the phone was top tier! I got a 2 meat combo with sausage, pulled pork, baked beans, and rice with a side of truffle Mac n cheese and these amazing bbq smh this food was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The Mac n cheese is something different, I’ve never had any that taste like that it was amazing. I am so impressed and proud! This was my first time eating here but I will be back and bringing more people. My side of Mac was so big and it was only 5 buck, I feel his pricing is reasonable especially with how tasty it is!
