The burgers were really good! I will admit, I set my expectations lower because I’ve been so disappointed in the past. From the outside, it’s small, quaint, and very clean. There seems to be enough parking but it’s a little funky when you pull in, nothing to really complain about.
When you walk in, it reminds me of old school Tampa, you have custom wall mural, chalkboard signs, and few tables (2 bench booths up against the wall and 2 bigger tables in the center). They also have seats against the wall while you’re waiting on your Togo food. The music was great and the small dining room was adequate. Although, when they get busy it does get crowded. The turn over service is very quick and you can get your food out on average 10 minutes an order, some where incredibly quick! All food comes in Togo containers (clam shells for the sandwiches and the fries came in a small paper bag). Any additional condiments, other than ketchup, mustard, s&p, you have to ask for while ordering, understandable.
They have a small staff, the first guy we met was very friendly and had a wonderful smile, the other was a woman in the back, she seemed like she was the “mom” of the whole place, she was getting stuff done! There were two other staff members, one that popped out every once in a while and another was just walking in.
We ordered two sandwiches, “Thee Cheeseburger” and “Thee Bacon Doubleburger”, a side of fries, and a can of coke. The burgers were cooked well done but very tender and juicy! The cheese was melted beautifully! His bacon on his sandwich was a good cut, crispy, and cooked well. His sandwich got a little messy after a while but it was huge! They go a little overboard on the mayo, but it had a nice tang to it so it wasn’t bad. They serve crinkle-cut fries that were fried well, but no salt. If you do dine in, be mindful that the tables don’t get cleaned every turn over since they don’t have a separate staff to handle those things regularly throughout the day. I’m sure they get cleaned when they have a chance.
We’d like to come back and try their chicken sandwich and their grouper sandwich. Overall very good pick if you’re craving a nice burger. One of the best values I’ve had in a long time. Thank you for...
Read moreThis is truly currently one of Tampa's most precious jems. There aren't too many places that offer a really good burger at a price that doesn't break the bank. This place DOES! Im talking a REAL burger, fries and a drink for under $10! Let me get started. They have traditional patty burgers as well as some creative spins that keep you coming back. Even though I prefer the more traditional burgers, I still ate here 3 days in a row for lunch (it's that good!). When you get a burger from here its put together with skill and care so the final product looks like it should be in a commercial. You won't get some slapped together mess that is less than satisfying and looks worse than I explained. My current vice here is the bacon cheeseburger. It comes with mayo, lettuce, onion and a pickel on top of the bun so you can keep it or flick it. Ketchup and mustard are conveniently set on the table behind where you order but honestly I've forgotten to put K & M on a few times and the flavor of the amazingly seasoned patty doesn't even need it. Make sure to get a frozen lemonade with your order to make your meal that much better. The lemonade is guess what... DA BOMB! This place replaced an old gyro and sub place I used to go to and I liked them but this place blows them out of the water. I could keep going on and on but you get the idea. Check out Thee Burger Spot. You won't be disappointed. And if you are, more for me. 2 thumbs up. 5 stars. Keep up the...
Read moreFound this gem almost by accident and saw the rave reviews on google, so I suggested it to my husband. Well, we drove 30 minutes to get there for a late lunch/early dinner. We were not disappointed!
Interior is humble and simple, burgers are mouthwatering! My husband and I ordered the Smokin' Joe and the Tangy BBQ Bacon burgers and split them (so we could each try both) along with free fries and an additional order of Loaded Fries. Wow. Two bites in, my husband closed his eyes and made a happy face. I asked if we would be driving 30min for burgers more often and he nodded contentedly. These burgers are loaded woth well thought-out, balanced flavor but do NOT make grease drip down your hands, which was a highlight for us. We watched the other customers, who seemed to arrive in small batches throughout our visit, and saw them use the salt/pepper/"seasoning" shakers on the table next to the door to flavor their (unseasoned, yet perfectly cooked) fries as they desired, so we followed suit and put salt and pepper in one bag of fries, and "seasoning" (aka old bay) in the other and shook to distribute. Perfect!
We can't wait to come back. Everyone we interacted with made us feel like family - they treated every customer that way. Our kids loved everything they tried - including the ice cream. And you just cant beat the prices. We will...
