Im going to make this short and directly to the point. Im a regular customer who catches the city bus to this Win Dixie a few times a weak spending average 40 dollars cash every visit. I bring a bag with me to put my groceries in after i purchase them but i make it my business to leave my bag at the front of the store hoping the homeless people dont take it. Iv been going this for years minding my business spending my hard earned money on food and i get back on the bus. I would think they would be familiar with me by now but every single time i come in there one of the many different security guards start moving around in my direction and giving me a very unwelcome look. I dont know what is the problem. Im a very decent black woman im not those bumbs who rip them off. Im obviously a common paying customer with the same routine as their other paying customers i buy my goods and im excited to use whatvi bought and enjoy the rest of ky day. Im tired of the unwelcomed looks by security who job is to make the paying customer feel safe. It really hurts my feelings im not gonna lie. Ive reported this to issue to the manager John but unbelievably he treated me just like the stereotyping security does. After i poured my heart out to him inviting them to do their job because i know the homeless people in this area rips them off but this clean beautiful woman is not the one.I told him to do their job watch every one, just don't make paying customers fell uncomfortable. Mr John said not a thing,he did not care at all what this minority was talking about.I know of others that says the same thing, they feel the same way, they brush it off but im the one to call and report this to corporate every chance i get. Wal-Mart is Way cheaper and super friendly. I feel so safe and welcomed at Wal-Mart. Wal-Marts manager's and security knows me for shopping just about every other day, they joke and call me the customer of the week no lie. Anyway the solution is to spend my money where im...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreabsolutely terrible experience every time I go, which is rare now. I have lived in the neighborhood for over 2 years and I have seen this store rapidly decline. Customer service is non existent, you are lucky if there is a cart for you to use, always VERY LONG LINES, because they are understaffed. But the most disappointing part of this store is the the staff are mostly racist. If you are white, don't expect any help, or fair treatment. I have never seen anything like it. if you are white, you will be treated completely terrible. as most of the staff is black, as well as the majority of the clientele, I watch the security gaurd, cashiers and management laugh and joke and talk to people of "their own kind" only to roll their eyes at me, ignore me, let black people cut in line and recieve over all respect and better service. I am completly appealed at the treatment I recieve there, and as a result drive miles out of my way for groceries. I could give multiple examples of my treatment, however I do not have the time to write a novel. hands down the worst store I've ever been to. And I have NEVER written a review for any establishment ever, as I have spent my whole life in the customer service industry and always try to give people the benefit of doubt. But after 2 years of terrible...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe location at the corner of Nebraska and MLK is probably the WORST Winn Dixie I've ever shopped and comparing Winn Dixie locations that's saying something.
They typically only have one "quick" checkout lane and one regular lane open. Managers seem to only be capable of walking around as they don't or won't help out when the lines are backed up halfway down the isle. I've spoken to more than one manager who truly expressed how much he did not care that there were not enough employees to get customers checked out without waiting 25 to 30 minutes standing in line.
I do my best to avoid Winn Dixie in general as I've found that overall, your business is not important.
The last time I stopped was to pick up a gallon of milk. They had a display in the front of the store for buy one get one free keebler cookies. I went to the cookie isle to see everything that was included in the sale. I grabbed two packages after getting the milk. When I got home milk and cookies sounded good so I opened one. The cookies were smashed beyond recognition. So I opened the other pack to discover that they were also destroyed.
This location is just a dismal excuse for a grocery store, with management that doesn't care about their employees or customers, shop here at...
