I just want to start out with I was born and raised in Tampa, FL and have been going to this Hooters since I was a kid before Buccaneers's games with my late father. I have always come back because of great service and food but tonight was the last time I will go to this establishment. Being a server/bartender in the hospitality business for over 10 years has taught me a lot of things and tonight this establishment failed in all aspects. When we got there the place was packed full and had to wait for a seat. No problem, it's Friday night you are busy we totally get it. But when we get seated finally the server comes over takes our order for drinks the manager followed her up with we are closing soon so order quick before we call last call on food and drinks. Wow! It is 10:15pm and they close at 11pm. I have never seen that from a manager at an establishment that is packed full and no way you are getting all of these people to leave anytime soon, and you would think a business would want to make more money especially being so busy on a Friday night. Not Hillsborough Hooters! The server forgot to ring in our final drink order that was ordered 20 minutes before the 11pm deadline the manager gave us. All the drinks came 10 minutes later except mine. I said excuse me you forgot mine she said oh my god I'm so sorry I will go get it it's right there and I couldn't hold it. Then she comes back over 5 minutes later and says Sir you can't have it due to us being closed. I said I ordered with the other 2 pitchers you just brought and you said sorry I forgot it. Then the manager came over and said you can't have it, I said why? I asked for it at the same time as them and your server said she forgot it. He insisted I yelled at him and proceeded to get the off duty cop outside to come inside kick me out of the establishment in front of my friends and family. I have been coming to this establishment for years with my friends and family who were at the table and I have never seen such terrible management and terrible handling of a situation in my hospitality or business career. Wishing this place would get back to what it was because it's just sad to see it run to the ground from terrible management and obviously terrible service because who hires them? Read moreI was holding off to leave this review. However, we frequent Hooters for the kids baseball and football team all the time. About a month ago we purchased a large order where one thing in that order was 50 wings for the team. When we arrived in keystone to let the boys eat the wings were rock hard. I called Hooters and spoke with Kirk and he advised he didn’t doubt the wings were hard we could come and get more but they close in 10 minutes. We advised we were 30 minutes out and wouldn’t make it could the dad who purchased the wings just get refunded. I was told no, the processing of credit cards are not dome locally and he couldn’t do that however he would put a credit in the name of the person who purchased the wings so when they came back in the future, they would have a credit under their name. Fat family, and ours recently visited Hooters in Tampa, where we told our waitress the story and the manager at the time advised there was no credit in the system under that name and that if we wanted that credit to be honored, we would have to wait for Kirk to be working We were lied to, and we’re just told that to get us off the phone so they could close their store That night with no hopes in making it right. Read moreMy bill was 48.56 they added 18% gratuity to my check. In an effort to b funny I realized my gratuity was 17.58 on a 47.56 bill. I tried bringing the matter to two waitresses including our server.. which fail to acknowledge the error. I requested a manager... This ignorant person failed to even attempt to de-escalate the matter... telling me he doesn't make up math and all he can tell me is that it's 18%. I'm fine with that ( we had a large wedding party) it's the 17.58 for 18% of 47.56 tab I'm questioning when the math ain't mathing that's about 8.56 cents roughly. No one would listen n at this point it was all about principle 4 me. I wasn't going to pay that bill. Eventually the hostess realized her (error) n corrected the bill. I didn't bother to even tip like I usually did. Unprofessionalism at its finest. Mind you that same manager got in to it with a customer about an hour b4. I would never ever spend another dime at hooters on W. Hillsborough avenue and Lois.. in Tampa Florida. People please check your receipts it seems these stores scamming us deliberately and dividing their profits amongst coworkers this gave Mr a bad vibe like they were all in on it as if it's regular practice.
