This place was by far the worst Mexican restaurant I have ever been to! I don’t think I’ve ever even left a restaurant review- but I felt the need to leave this one. The prices are extremely high! $5 for a bottle of coke, no drinks for children at all. Even though the menu states the kids meal comes with a child’s drink- they said they didn’t have one so would not accommodate for any other drink. The salsa looked like vomit and was very spicy, we ordered chicken fajitas and the chicken did not look cooked, it was dry and didn’t come with lettuce/tomato/sour cream or anything. So they expected me to eat dry plain chicken on a shell. The shells were flaking apart and rubbery- we were told they were home made and the only kind served 🤢 they didn’t have flour tortillas. We asked to take back the fajitas as they didn’t taste good and we would not eat them- the waitress had to call the manager to check first 🙄 but eventually said she would take it off. So I paid $20 for two drinks and a side of guacamole (that was mediocre in taste). Never again will I return! We literally left and took my children and my mother to McDonalds instead. By the way- we were the only customers in the establishment. Very very...
Read moreThere are a few places I've been where I can say they are true must see gems, and this is one of them. First, the food. The steak quesadillas were some of the best I ever had. My friend had a steak taco and he had similar praise. The chips look house made and while I'd probably give them a little salt, the house made salsa is plenty spicy enough to add flavor. If you can't handle some spice, this may not be the place for you, they are amazing at bold flavors. The drinks were also very solid. The service: it was a little slow but still okay attentive. Always made sure I had my water full and we got what we wanted. The atmosphere: this is where I can see a divide, but I liked it. It's loud with booming Spanish music, karaoke, and lights. If you are looking for a quiet meal, this is not the place. I was here to celebrate a Georgia Tech win and the atmosphere was perfect for my celebratory mood. Overall, I would call this restaurant a must try location if you go a game in Tampa Bay. Delicious food and a unique atmosphere made this restaurant something I will talk about for...
Read moreThis place is middle of the road at best. I tried this place for the first time and likely won't be back. It has more of a club vibe than restaurant, loud music, in the middle of the day, people singing pretty loud, but OK, that's their thing I guess. Onto the food. It was ok at best and very over priced. I ordered flautas and that's all it came with, no rice, no beans, paid $15 for five small flautas and what seemed like a head of lettuce. Their Barria tacos were insanely spicy. Again, very pricy for I got. And kinda shocking, you have to order tacos Ala Carter, they don't have a meal. Most Mexican places will have a dinner with 2 or 3 tacos that comes with rice and beans. Not here. You'll spend $6 on a bowl or watery beans and a scoop of rice, then spend $3 per taco. If there is one thing I like about this place it was the Mexican pop culture murals on the wall. I dig that but it's not enough to...
