Nasty fingernail in pizza!!! I'm never going to this Hungry Howie's again. My husband, two friends, and I were drinking at the bar nearby. My husband was hungry so we decided to walk to Hungry Howie's and order a pizza before the place closed. We got there about 1/2 an hour before closing time on Friday night. We waited inside, got our food, and sat on the bench outside to eat. After finishing my second slice of pizza, I felt something in the side of my mouth, in between my gums and teeth. I use my finger to remove it, thinking it was just a spice from the crust, as we like going to Hungry Howie's for the different flavor crusts. However, what I pulled out wasn't a spice from the crust, but a nasty yellow fingernail. At least I hope it was a fingernail... (I know it was a nail because of how hard it felt, and the shape.) I went to the trash bin to try to throw up, but I didn't want to stick my head inside the side. (At that time I didn't think to remove the lid) So, I went to the street to throw up. Unfortunately I only dry heaved, and spat a lot, and didn't feel like shoving my finger down my throat. I went back inside to say something to them, showing them the nail. One person said eww, but when the other person (I think that one was in charge) came over to look he said "That didn't come from here". Although my husband was telling me not to complain, or kick up a fuss because I wasn't sober. (He thought no one would believe me) I still wanted to make this post. I will admit that I had a few drinks, but I lucid enough to realize what had just happened. And I know that the nail didn't come from me, because my nails are white at the tips. No one else handed me the pizza, I got it straight from the box, and I didn't feel anything in the side of my mouth until after I ate.

Read moreI purchase from Hungry Howies often and tonight I had a less than desirable experience at our local store. We ordered a regular pepperoni pizza online with 2x butter cheese crust. I came in to get it and when I got it home and looked at it, the entire center of the pizza was missing cheese. On top of that, there was no butter cheese at all on the crust. I called the location and the gentleman that answered was very nice and acted as a go between for himself and the manager. I was obviously not a priority to the manager and I insisted in speaking with him rather than acting as a go between. When he finally got on the phone, all I asked was that a replacement was delivered to me since the first one was not as ordered. He continued to quote that it was against his policy since I picked the first up even though I was literally 1/4 mile behind the restaurant. He also challenged my complaint saying that there was no way the pizza was missing cheese in the middle. In addition, I asked to speak with the owner since he blamed the owner for this policy and he said I could call back on Saturday between noon and 1pm. It does not quite seem right that I have to hunt down someone to resolve an issue that could have been resolved by a manager by delivering a new pizza. Apparently my time is worth nothing and I should not trust that my order be right the first time or else I will have to be inconvenienced to get it right. Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I would. Ordered a pickup order and had someone pick it up. They completely forgot one of the pizzas I ordered and when I called a lady answered and said she had remembered making it and put me on hold. Said they must’ve sold it to someone else and that they would remake it, I asked for it to be delivered since no one could pickup the order and they put me on hold to make sure someone could, told me it would go out on the next route. The driver was supposed to come to the door and deliver, even gave the worker all the information. The driver “attempted a delivery” and “called many times to get in contact with us” when in reality that never happened. The driver told us she was on route to her next delivery and we would have to call the manager and would have to discuss other options. We called and “the manager” answered and said that the driver called us over 5 times and no one answered, when that was not what had happened. He then argued back and forth with us about what happened and how we would either have to come in or pay for something we never received. When we asked for a refund he said that they decided a refund would not be issued and that it was our fault. He then argued more with us and hung up the phone on us.
Would not recommend ever buying from this location as they are extremely rude and do not even try to deliver food when you are told they will.
