Has really gone downhill.
they turned their phone off to stop phone orders, so we had to drive there to place our to-go order.
The order included chips and queso that was packed with the lid loose, spilling the queso all over our food. So, we had to drive back to the place to get the queso replaced. Apology? lol no. They acted like replacing the queso was some huge favor they were doing us.
We ordered a chicken quesadilla that wasn't entered in the order, so going back for the queso I had to reorder that anyway. I asked if they could give me the quesadilla for free since I had queso spill all over my food and had to drive back (I shouldn't have to ask. They should have offered me something, but like I said, they already thought replacing the queso was a big deal). The young girl up front, who was very nice actually, asked the cook if she could make me one and the cook contorted her face as if I was asking to borrow her car, and refused. So the girl had to call the manager, who begrudgingly agreed to give me a free quesadilla. He was nice and all, but good lord.
Rage-cook: The cook in the back didn't know, or didn't care, that customers may be able to speak Spanish. When the young girl up front told her to make the quesadilla, she got annoyed and started saying nasty complaints in Spanish. For example: the girl told her it's a chicken quesadilla, her response: "really? Chicken. It HAS to have chicken not just cheese!?"
This is how she handled EVERYthing. She clearly loathes her job. Needless to say, I tossed that quesadilla in the trash because who knows what she did to it.
I'm sad to say I'm done with Loli's. I've been going there since it was just a little family owned place on Benjamin road, but now they're owned by a company and have clearly cut costs and hired the...
Read moreSuper bland, tamales didn't have any seasoning in mix and the chicken on inside was covered in such a spicy pepper like puré stuff that didn't have any flavor to balance out just pure bland heat, all seeds, making it not worth eating unless you just like to sweat. My husband did say the chorizo was really good(he has only eaten Mexican food in Florida and San Fran so take his opinion with a grain of salt) and the quesadilla my niece ate did have quality queso fresco in it but the offerings on their menu that sound more authentic such as the tostada, the lengua taco I ate that tasted like corned beef and the sopas were extremely americanized and not worth the double price of quality tacos such as Tacos De Oro (none for than $3) in North Tampa which would still be a cheaper after the 25 minute drive and the gas that it took to get there. No taco is worth $4 and we should have walked out as soon as we saw the $7 quesadilla. They must have good marketing because it was full of unhappy looking diners and I just wanna help whoever reads this get better tacos lol, unless you like bland...
Read moreIf you love tacos this is the place to be, I love the carnitas; best pork I’ve ever had. Menu is very vague, it says quesadillas come with mozzarella cheese. When I received my carnitas quesadilla it had cilantro and onions (two items I absolutely hate). I asked for it to be remade and the employee was very understanding and kind to me. When I receive the remake it was chicken and not pork. I love their chicken also, but it wasn’t what I ordered. They apologized and told me to keep the chicken quesadilla and they would make the pork for me ASAP. Within a few minutes a manager comes to my table and gives me a refund and a sincere apology. Finally I get my correct quesadilla and it was worth the wait!!! Not only is the food amazing but so is the customer service. Definitely my favorite place to fill my...
