Rouen Thai Restaurant — Restaurant in Tampa

Literally my favorite restaurant in tampa. Ive been coming here for years and have never been disappointed or had a bad visit. Everything on the menu ive tried has been delicious and is always plated beautifully. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful and the soft lighting makes it super cozy and comfortable, the staff are always very kind as well so its a very inviting place to go. Its a favorite spot my family likes to go for birthdays and celebrations.

I get takeaway one or twice a month usually and theyve never messed up my order and everything is always packaged up really nicely to avoid spills (noodles wrapped in tinfoil in the takeaway container etc.) Its a bit pricey but it matches the quality and quantity of the food (i always end up with leftovers enough for 1-2 more meals n omatter what i order, their portions are pretty sizeable). My favs i would recommend would be the spicy chicken pad thai or the vegetable fried rice (they steam the vegetables i think so they are cooked but have a really pleasant crunch to them and they are always cut really beautifully, i never knew fried rice could be pretty but it definitely is!)

Their spring rolls, chicken rice soup, curries, pad thai and ried rice dishes would probably be my top...

We ordered thai food from Rouen Thai tonight. We placed a large order for pick up. Being such a big order, we anticipated a long wait. When I arrived for pick up, I was told the order would be a few minutes longer to prepare. The staff brought out the order in bags. I checked a few things in the bag - satisfied everything was there, I walked out the door with the various bags. When I was loading the bags in my car, a member of the waitress staff ran out to inform me i was missing part of my order and they would bring out the food. I waited a minute and the waitress delivered as promised. When I got home and divided up the food, we noticed some soup we ordered was missing. No big issue we thought as we got the soup to try rather than be a main course. 20 minutes after eating, we got a call from Rouen Thai informing us they had forgotten to include our soup and said they would credit us next time we ate there. We have gone to Rouen Thai twice since the last update. They are back to excellence in all areas!

UPDATE DEC 2023. Noticed prices are higher-somebody has to pay for that and it is usually the consumer. I get that no issue. They redid the layout of the floor and got rid of a tripping hazard-kudos.

The food is good but not as good as it was a number of months ago.

Service. The guy forgot to bring my drink and pretended he had not heard my order. I am louder than most folks as well as my family and he got their orders ok. Say "sorry " don't lie.

They spilled some of my curry on me and made no effort to clean up. I got up and asked for a bunch of napkins. Water refills? You have to loudly demand them. Any service ar all has to be demanded. The polite efficient ladies are gone and some rude clueless guy was managing. Debating whether or not to give them a second chance.

Great food. Fast and polite service. Take out is not as great but still good. Agreat value and a great place and we just keep going back. ...
