The restaurant is nice. The atmosphere is very colorful and there are a lot of things to look at. The waitress is always so sweet and kind. The food is yummy but it depends on what you get. The carnitas tacos are my favorite but I once tried the beef to change it up and it was not good. Also, the gentleman that sings is really a little to loud. Just being honest from my experience and for my personal taste. I felt like I had to yell to talk to people at my table.

One suggestion I have is DO NOT ORDER TAKE OUT. I’ve eaten here a handful of times inside the restaurant and I ordered to-go this time and it was awful. Everything was a mess inside the boxes, cold, leaking everywhere. The child’s quesadilla is a joke. It was basically a cold tortilla with a pinch of cheese. Overpriced at $5 and some change.

The thing that really bothered me the most was that when I ordered my food on the phone, the girl misunderstood what I ordered. That’s fine and it happens. I ordered a kids quesadilla and she thought I ordered the adult quesadilla. I really was in disbelief that instead of just giving me the adult quesadilla, she made me wait 20 more minutes for them to cook a kids quesadilla. This didn’t make sense to me at all. They were just going to throw away the other quesadilla anyway? Why not just have me pay for the kids and give me the adult instead of sit there and make me wait forever for another one?

I liked this restaurant so far until I had this particular experience. I will be fair and give three stars. I don’t think I will be going back just based on the lack of customer service and...

Two Orders of Fajitas ordered for takeout: One Steak and Chicken, no onion, with lettuce and cheese only. Order had NO STEAK and came with a salad covered in dressing that leached all over the cheese. Other order was Chicken only, no onion; refried beans, cheese and lettuce only. Again, came with a salad covered in dressing that leached all over the refried beans; but had no cheese. Also, the tortia's were supposed to be flour, they put corn tortia's instead. Took the order back only to find out that the person that took the order mistakenly put two orders of Chicken only fajitas in. It's about a 6 mile round trip. Even though the staff admitted they entered in incorrectly, the "owner" told them to charge us the extra $2 for the price difference between chicken only and steak and chicken. Dear owner... BAD MISTAKE! Your staff messed up the order, not me. You messed up the entire order by putting salad dressing in with all the sides, which ruined all of them. Charging us the extra $2 for YOUR mistakes was a bad business decision. I will drive 20 miles across town to patronize a business that cares more about their customers, than deal with your poor customer...

I had high expectations walking into this restaurant, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing across the board especially when it came to authenticity. I ordered the queso fundillo, expecting the traditional dish made with Oaxaca cheese. Instead, I was served something that resembled melted Velveeta, combined with questionable chorizo. It was greasy, artificial-tasting, and entirely lacking the authenticity the dish deserves. The burrito was equally unimpressive bland, under seasoned, and forgettable. It lacked the vibrant, layered flavors that are the hallmark of good Mexican cuisine. To make matters more confusing, the taco section offered a choice between an “American taco” or a “Mexican taco.” I’ve never seen that separation in any truly authentic restaurant. It felt more like a gimmick than a meaningful distinction. Service was average not rude, but far from welcoming. And their margaritas? Heavily overpriced for drinks that didn’t live up to their cost. Overall, the restaurant feels more like a stylized imitation of Mexican food than the real thing. If you’re looking for genuine flavor and cultural integrity, I suggest...

First time visit at 430 pm on Thursday December 27, 2018. Military discount is 10 percent. One table of 4 was already in the restaurant when we arrived. The noise level was quite high from conversation of that table on the other side of the restaurant and the staff in the kitchen. Acoustics bouncing of conversations was to a point I thought it was entirely too loud to be enjoyable. We were given a small container of chips with salsa when we sat. I thought the amount of chips was skimpy and the salsa was very watery. It was spicy but you could drink it with a straw. Taste was good though. The menu to order simple tacos was confusing. My son loves tacos and we try a new restaurant each time we can. For some reason just ordering regular tacos with rice and beans was not in a standard combination. The tacos were good. The steak was very good. The ground beef a little greasy The rice was ok. The refried beans were good. I thought the portions were skimpy though with the rice and beans. We drank water and the bill before tip was $16.37

Walking into Casa Mexicana Bar & Grill, I felt right at home—like stepping onto a front porch with a cold cerveza in hand, the smell of fajitas and chips and salsa in the air. The kind of place where the food does the talking, and the folks serving it do so with a smile that says, Stay awhile, they got you covered. I went for the Steak a la Tampiqueña, a plate that should be a love letter to Mexico’s northern flavors. And while it didn’t quite have the smoky kiss of a true open-fire asador, it had soul—tender, well-seasoned, paired with sides that felt like a warm handshake. My date’s Seafood Platter was fresh, generous, and straight-up comforting, like something you'd dig into on a lazy Sunday by the Gulf. The service? Friendly, never rushed. The atmosphere? A little lively, a little laid-back—just the way I like it. Could it have had a bit more of that deep, earthy magic you find in Mexico’s finest kitchens? Sure. But did it leave me satisfied, grinning, and ready for another round? Oh, you bet. I'll be back with more friends.
