Pokebowl was tasty, but the proportions were incredibly small and they were stingy with the amount of toppings. (Counting my shrimp and there's only 5 of them? Please.) I often go to poke bowl places and they fill to the top but my bowl was only at the middle line, not at all worth $15.99. The rice was also crunchy in parts as if it were old, and it was only 3pm in the day.
We went ahead and bought boba as well, since we hadn't started our poke and wanted a drink and we ordered 2,Taro and oreo, both which tasted like water. There was no flavor or taste, just water. I thought if I shook the cup it would taste better, but it didn't sadly. No flavor to the milk tea, and I was disappointed as I taste boba around the state and it was one of the worst I've ever had. I asked them to remake it, which I appreciate they did, though I could tell the employees annoyance despite it only being me and my partner in the entire place at the time. Still, they remade it and it tasted like it actually had milk in it, but still not good, but better than $6 water with pearls.
Overall we will not be back, and I'm disappointed, though the staff was kind.
Edit: The response to my review was to reach out and it would be rectified, but I tried to reach out and was never replied to. Read moreI came here today because I’ve been wanting to try it for a while. I think I’m more disappointed because there was an opportunity for service recovery that was missed and I ate in the store. There was plastic in my food and I didn’t take a photo instead I brought it up to the counter and showed who I assumed to be the manager working. I regret not speaking up for myself regarding this because I still ate the food which is totally my fault.. as a former restaurant manager I understand mistakes happen. We’re human.. but when a similar experience happened to me I offered the guests a remake and to pay for the meal that had the plastic in it because I understand it’s not their responsibility to ensure food safety or food quality when they dine in. The plastic could’ve touched the floor or a contaminated surface. I regret not asking for a refund or a remake and I regret just silently eating the food. I spoke English but my partner that I went in with spoke only Spanish and he realized that ..
