The good: Great, delicious food and warm smiling faces
The bad: Management, you are setting your employees up for failure. I walked in today with an employee on the phone with a customer trying to get a refunded/cancelled online order. "sorry my manager is not here and they have to be here to do any refunds." Next, I go to pickup my call-in order and ask about the back of my punch-card which states "join Mr. Empanada E Club on facebook and receive a voucher for a FREE empanada." I tell the employee I have followed the facebook page but couldn't find where you get a voucher. She says she doesn't know. I ask her if she would honor the card. She says she can't do anything since there isn't a manager and she doesn't know how any of that system works...Great. I get my stuff and get ready to leave when the next lady behind me comes in with a printed out voucher for a Free empanada when you buy three. The employee mistakenly charges the lady for all four empanadas. The lady asks the employee to void the transaction out, but the employee again states, she can't do anything because a manager is not there. Dear management, THIS IS CUSTOMER SERVICE FAILURE. How can you run a business like this? I love your empanadas, but please take this constructive feedback. Your customers are getting upset and it is reflecting poorly on your employees. It is not their fault. It is management's job to run the business and set their employees up for success. Please fix this...
Read moreRestuarant denied my order for one empanada as I was also picking up an order for doordash and apparently it was already READY FOR PICK UP. BUT THE ORDER was supposed to be handed to me by 11:57. I walked in the doors at 11:50. They didnt even give me the delivery order until 12.... so 1 star for denied service by a paying customer... ONE empanada. I understand that if the order is ready. But I didnt get it till afterwards anyways... NOT HELPING THEIR BUSINESS AGAIN. I should of made the order late so they could get another bad review from the customer. Oh wait... that's on me and would mess up my doordash...
Read moreHands down best experience with Lisa, the owner. We are here from Atlanta (but I was born here in Tampa) and Mr Empanada is my favorite! They closed early for New Years Eve and when I called to see if any locations were open she said where to go and she was frying me some because she wanted me to have them despite her stores being closed! Wow! What amazing customer service. I’ve been eating Mr Empanada my whole life and I hope everyone joins in to support this delicious business with hands down incredible customer service.
