There's too much of a focus on healthy, clean eating in our restaurant culture today. Especially when we talk about our calorie intake, we should consider that protein is incredibly important with that.
While they had some new menu items and could get me some Caesar dressing, the serving portions could honestly be better, and what ingredients are considered "premium".
The bases they were willing to give. But as they moved on to the proteins, I was underwhelmed by how much they could serve. It's like a do-over with Chipotle, skimping on the meat. I even asked for double protein. Could you guess how much I got? Equivalent to a single serving of chicken at Chipotle.
I mean if you're going to market that you have protein-heavy bowls, PUT MORE PROTEIN IN THE BOWL!
Let's get to the "premium add-ons". Shredded parmesan cheese which should be standard with any salad, especially Caesar which is what I got cost $1.30, seriously!? I mean getting 4 free toppings with the selection they have, forces you to have to go with "premium toppings" to satisfy your plating. The premium toppings I saw didn't look so well, premium. If you have an avocado craving, I understand. This is just a bland attempt to bring the value of your bowl down.
I had paid over $20 for this food which I honestly didn't think was bad as far as flavor profile goes. But you cannot expect customer loyalty with how you portion your...
Read moreThey gave a customer a salad that they gave to me after I took it home, opened it, realized they gave me the wrong one, and drove it back to the store. DISGUSTING.
Full story
Ordered online and drove to pick my order up, got it home and realized the name on the bag was correct but the name on the bowl was wrong. After opening the salad to confirm, I took it back to the store to show them and get the correct salad (if not for a food allergy I would have suffered through the wrong one). When i told the staff what happened they acted like I inconvenienced them and tried to find the old salad that should have been mine to give me (it would have been over 30 minutes old by now). They finally agreed to make my salad again.
READ THIS PART Here’s the worst part, they took the bowl that was incorrect (that had been opened in my home) and put it in the correct persons bag and set it on the shelf to be picked up. When confronted about it they acted confused and still left it there. I watched someone pick it up.
Then they handed me my salad, said “all set” and sent me on my way. No apology whatsoever. WILD. Will never eat at Hyde Park sweetgreen again. Side note, there is no way to discuss this with a human, so it’s going here for...
Read moreThe staff member I interacted with was a bit rude, and overall, the service here felt disappointing. My friends and I arrived at 8:15 PM…well before the posted closing time of 9 PM, yet many menu items were already unavailable.
I had ordered the new Ranch Baddie Bowl, but five ingredients were out of stock, including the blackened chicken and roasted tomatoes which are two of the main components. The staff member didn’t tell me this upfront. Instead, he started making the bowl, added a couple of items, and only then informed me that key ingredients were unavailable. I ended up creating my own bowl, which turned out good, but the experience was frustrating.
While we were eating outside, we noticed the staff turning away customers and saying they were closing as early as 8:30–8:45 PM. By then, they were already mopping, putting chairs on tables, and clearly shutting down.
As someone who’s worked in the restaurant industry, I know the standard is to stay open and provide service until closing time, then begin closing duties after the doors are locked. This location seemed to stop serving well before 9 PM, which felt unwelcoming and...
