This location is an almost hidden gem secret! It is on Platt just before the bridge leading to the convention center or 3 short streets away from Bayshore Blvd. and Davis Island. The real secret is the staff here! They're polite, courteous absolutely love taking care of their customers almost as if without us they would have next to no reason to live. (A little positive sarcasm, but true none the less) Kayla, is a stunningly beautiful spirit of sunshine at this Tijuana Flats and I have had the immense pleasure of being taken care of by her. The food is LITERALLY TOP DRAWER and has now become my 👍FLAVOR-ITE👌 🍺TIJUANA FLATS🌮 location to visit. I'm sitting in the restaurant at this exact moment. One of 3 customers in the early afternoon on a Tuesday. My empty tray is sitting there and my empty cup with the lid off. I'm watching anywhere from 3-5 employees talking with each other while not a single person has come by. In fact, I've now watched someone drop food off to the two other people, walk by my table, and completely ignore me. I've probably visited around 20 different Flats locations and have never seen this kind of blatant disinterest in the customers. Clearly this is a culture that management has curated. I've sat here for more than a half hour reading news on my phone without a single person stopping to see if I needed a refill (which I still do) or if I needed anything else. As someone who tips 100% of the time in Tijuana Flats, I do expect my tip to actually be worth something.

Great food and amazing service! I ordered online and went to pick up my order inside with my two month old asleep in the carseat. One of the staff actually helped me carry out my food and put it in my car because I couldn't carry it all while also carrying my son's carseat. I didn't even have to ask! I was headed to my car to put the drinks in there and then I was going to come back to grab my food but then I turned around and saw the staff member actually following me to my car. It was such a huge help and they were actually pretty busy too since it was Taco Tuesday lol It was truly awesome to see the time and attention she gave me to make my trip easier. I wish I knew her name, but to the girl who checked me out and carried my order to my car and even put it in the car for me, thank you so so soooo much! You are a rock star!
