only giving it two stars because I usually love Tropical Smoothie and the smoothies are good. I placed a Doordash order, one of the items was entirely wrong. I ordered a 3 Cheese 'Dilla and received some sort of wrap which I couldn't identify but it wasn't very good. I received my refund through Doordash but being that I also work in the food industry I called the store to make them aware of the mistake assuming someone else might've received my order. Whoever answered the phone was super rude and only answered with "Hello?" when I tried to clarify "is this Tropical Smoothie?" he said "who's this?" so I asked a second time and again he responded with "who's this" so I said "a customer, can I speak to the manager?" Then suddenly within a second it was "thank you for calling Tropical Smoothie" but it sounded like the exact same voice even though he claimed it wasn't. he said he's the manager Christopher, and apologized and said next time to come in and find him and he would rectify the situation to which I said I appreciated. Although, I likely won't be returning. I'm not sure if the manager is who answered the phone so unprofessionally, or the employee pretended to be a manager, or if their voices were just that similar. but the entire experience was not good. I've been to Tropical Smoothie lots of times and been very happy, but usually in Pinellas, so maybe it's just this location. I don't usually leave bad reviews for places, and if it would've just been the order mistake I wouldn't have, but the customer service experience was WILD. this location really needs to improve their overall food and...

I visited this Tropical Smoothie Cafe last Sunday. I ordered a smoothie and a wrap. Within a few minutes of paying for my order, one of the employees came out to say there was no one able to make food until 4:00 and anyone who just ordered would have to wait. It was 3:15. I had somewhere to be, so was unable to wait. I asked for a refund and was told no one working knew how to process a refund. I tried to see what my options were as I had already paid, but both of the employees working had no idea how to handle the situation. One of the other patrons in the same situation said this same thing happened to him 2 months prior and he had a post-it note written for him to receive his meal at a later date. I received the same post-it note, but do not live close enough to this location to probably be able to honor it (if anyone even would). I had to leave as I was running late at this point, without my food or a refund. I have written to the company privately since this happened as I am still astonished at the situation, but have not received a response. It is an absolutely horrible way to run a business. I understand staff shortages and maybe not having enough time to train (although this has happened twice in two months), but at least make an attempt to right the wrongs when they do occur. Read moreUPDATE: Really needed another fiber boost, so I broke down and ordered another avocaloda smoothie with chia seeds, this time for pick up. They left out the chia seeds. I give up on this place. What a total joke. Rating updated to reflect the new experience. Might try a different location, though. The menu is solid, these folks are just incompetent.

Terrible. Food is missing ingredients its supposed to have & has ingredients that aren't listed on the menu. Smoothies are the only things that seem to made correctly.
I ordered 3 things:
Supergreen Caesar Chicken Bowl with extra chicken and a banana on the side. It had maybe 5 pieces of chicken total, no banana, and no parmesan crisps. Then it had a thick layer of rice and beans at the bottom. Those last two ingredients, while not unheard of in a bowl, were not mentioned anywhere on the online menu. I actually checked other versions of the menu just to make sure, and they weren't mentioned there, either. This item gets 0 stars.
Chicken Caprese Sandwich with a banana on the side. Banana missing again. As for the sandwich itself, while all of the ingredients seem to be there, none of them share any part of the bread with the others. This item gets 1 star.
An avocaloda smoothie with chia seeds and no pineapple. As far as I can tell, they actually got this one right. It was disgusting, but I expected it to be. So I'm going to go ahead and give it 5 stars.
Averaged out, that's 2 stars per item. I have no intention of trying this...
