U Poke Spot — Restaurant in Tampa

Oh, why did I not come to this place sooner ? Funny thing is, I did when it first opened, but was hesitant once I came in and decided to walk out .

Well I'm glad I finally decided to give them a try. Their food is absolutely delicious ! Very light and good for the body. You are free to customize your own bowl as I did which I really enjoyed, it was fun and the end result was worth it. All the flavors came together beautifully and everything from the base, to the toppings, to the proteins just really complimented each other nicely.

What's even better is that their prices are affordable. I was surprised to see my total only come up to $11.88. For the quality and the portion, it was definitely worth it. I would love to come back again, and I have to try their sushi burrito! I understand this place might not be for everybody, but for those who appreciate this kind of cuisine, you will not be disappointed!

P.S the staff member I dealt with was very patient and knowledgeable. I felt like a lost fish when I first arrived, and she even complimented my bowl at the end .

We ordered from U Poke Spot last Saturday.

The fish they sent us was rotten. Like, genuinely bad. It tasted like it was left out of the refrigerator overnight. We both ended up with severe food poisoning.

Please be warned: even if you've eaten there in the past and had a positive experience (like us), something has changed, and they can no longer be trusted to serve safe food. :(

This was the previous review so you know I'm not biased against them & just want to protect you & your family: They now add a decent amount of sauce! I'm so happy they've listened to their customers! Still great food, still super quick service, but now with enough sauce. I do still usually ask for extra sauce, but if I forget it's not the end of the world (standard sauce now is more than extra sauce was when I originally reviewed them). Always been a great place when I've stopped by. The price is amazing for what you get. Been going here since it opened and keep coming back.

Compared to what you pay for sushi(even though it is a different experience of course), this is a great deal and will fill you up fast vs having to order several rolls. I used to work at quality sushi restaurants for years and the price for the portion is unbeatable. Remember this is fresh fish not chicken.

Been waiting for poke place for YEARS since I was introduced to poke in Hawaii and the west coast a while ago. The quality and several choices for the price you can't beat. You don't get these affordable options normally. The newer ones that are popping up suddenly around town don't hold up in my opinion.
