I used to support KN’s Sandwiches often for the past couple of months because of their delicious vegan options (the female owner is a sweetheart and a really great cook), but after several encounters of poor customer service and relations I can no longer patronize this restaurant.
I had brought my friends to this restaurant as this was their first time. The male owner made a mistake on my friend’s lunch combo. Upon bringing it up, he refused to admit the mistake and mentioned, “She got the same thing as what your other friend ordered” and continued along. Customers KNOW WHAT THEY ORDER. When asking to get it wrapped since it was not what she wanted, she requested for the noodles to be separated from the soup to prevent it from absorbing as it sits, and he said, “that’s the way it is for convenience.” There was no apologies, no fixing the order, nothing.
I had paid for a platter in advanced and mentioned for it to be ready for pick up at 11 am. The male owner (above) mentioned that that is the time they open, but agreed on the time and mentioned they will try their best to come in a little earlier to make it. Normally, good businesses will do whatever it takes to provide excellent service, but to ask for a platter to be made by 11 am seemed like such a burden. It came time for pick up at 11 am, but they just rolled in. They had it ready 15-20 mins later.
Tables have crumbs and food particles from previous customers and are not wiped down often— as customers are in charge of putting their trash and dishes away on top of the counter. In addition, in the female’s restroom, there is a painted coffee tin/planter by the mirror with a dead, preserved cockroach inside :/
As a result, I have deducted three stars from the...
Read moreTerrible customer service. Asked some questions to place an order through the phone, she got annoyed (for asking questions about the menu?!), yelled at me and hung up saying she's "busy".
Reply to your answers. Already checked your menu, $20 Spring roll platter special wasn't on the regular menu so I wasn't sure what kind of meats I can choose. (Also as a regular customer I knew some meats run out fast and I had to choose what's available at that time.) Total phone call lasted less than a minute and 25 seconds (not 30 minutes) and I was ONLY inquiring about Fresh spring rolls. When I asked about meat options for spring rolls, the lady didn't mention about pork and I asked twice if pork was out. That was all. Does asking about meat options for spring rolls make you my food consultant? Within a minute and 25 seconds (very SHORT phone call) how many questions do you think I could ask you?
One more thing, you hung up on me in the middle of conversation. That was very...
Read moreWhen walking into a Vietnamese sandwich shop, you should be able to smell the bread baking. There should be a Vietnamese on the menu. And at the very least they should know the Vietnamese names of what they're selling. All major red flags before I even ordered. After an hour wait in a non air-conditioned enviornment, we got our food. The coffee was not as strong or as rich as it should be and lacked the aroma. The bread was soft, but should have had a good crust. It lacked some sweatness, flavor and the aroma. The vegetables were fine, but lacking spice. The meat left much to be desired and lacked some ingredients. I'm not sure who's been rating this place highly, but perhaps another visit to Saigon is required to remember what this...
