Cons:
They have stopped playing country music and destroyed the ambiance. As an actual Texan stuck on Guam for going on two years now I had up until today really enjoyed frequenting this establishment. The décor on the walls coupled with country music really made me feel like I was back home in Texas. For my meal today there was a variety of loud, obnoxious, inappropriate jazz, 70's disco, hard rock, and metal. In the hour and a half I dined not one country song came on and I almost cancelled my order and left. This is the only reason I didn't put 5 stars.
09/03/21 Update: Went in on a Friday Night and nothing but country was being played again. Excellent experience with Jeremy.
Food progression is lacking.
Pros:
The food is tasty and always hot. In the 30ish times I've had the prime rib over the last two years I've only ever been disappointed once.
The salads are always crisp and fresh.
"If" you get a coffee it is really superb.
The staff is always friendly and genuine. I spoke with Manager Brandon today at length about my frustration/borderline rage at the change in music and he was the perfect manager.
The joint is clean. The bathrooms look and smell clean.
I stopped eating the bread about six months ago as I am trying to loose weight but if loosing weight isn't an issue for you then the bread with their house butter is...
Read moreI ordered 2 Miso Salmon to-go. I called at 7:56pm and was told to give it about 15 minutes. The order wasn’t ready until 8:30. I did order the salmon well done however, I’ve order this exact dish when dinning in before and it didn’t take them 30 minutes to make it well done. If that wasn’t bad enough, the salmon had NO sauce considering it’s a miso salmon and I was expecting the same quality I’d had before. The salmon was so disappointing in taste and just tasted like a plain salmon especially for an over $30 a meal price. Definitely NOT worth the price for the serving and taste on top of the double wait time. I had a recent dine in experience and that was also not a good experience. Now after two bad experiences I’ve decided to no longer dine there or order take out. I definitely don’t recommend tourists eat there either just for the Brand name, it’s really not worth the prices. We had signed a tip of $5 even though it was a take out order not realizing we were going to be very disappointed a...
Read moreI'll review everything individually, the service was pretty good, the atmosphere is usual for a steakhouse nothing stood out as special or bad about it. The chicken soup was good, needed a bit more flavor a little salt & pepper would do the trick. The bread was great, fresh & delicious with the butter. The brownie & ice cream dessert was good, it's hard to mess up brownie & ice cream. Now to the main course, the mashed potatoes & gravy was really good, but the steak, was one of the worst I've had in my life. I ordered the 12oz sirloin, medium. I know the sirloin is not the highest quality cut steak, but I didn't expect to be chewing on leather. The steak was bloody, but hard as rock to chew. By the end of my meal, my gums were bruised & inflamed. A $10 steak at a 24hr dine-in spot is probably better than this steak. I rarely use steak sauce on steak, but I had to for this one and it still didn't help. After eating that, I felt like grilled tree bark would be easier to chew....
