I all the way went there for the tuna salad, I was there at 4pm, right after they open, but I’ve been told all the seats under the umbrella was reserved, and the customers will come around 5:30-6:00. I only want to order a salad and I will definitely finish in half an hour, but they still refused to give me the seat, I sat upstairs and ordered the salad, but they made the tuna way too sour, I have tried poke tuna bowl in Hawaii, in Japan, in the U.S, but the way they made the salad in this restaurant is just not right, I was very disappointed and I told the manager it’s too sour, he offered to make me another one, but the second one still come with white vinegar, I actually didn’t understand why did he still put the vinegar after I told him I can’t handle sour, he doesn’t understand white vinegar is the most sour vinegar in all types of vinegar, just a little bit can make the whole portion of food taste different.
I finally changed to another order, basket fries, they don’t have any plain fries, the most simple choose is : with cheese, at first I thought it’s cheese powder or Mozzarella cheese, but it’s actually cheddar cheese, it’s too heavy and they put too much on the fries, very salty. I think at least they should have ask if the customer need the cheese on the side, but they didn’t, if you’re from any Asian countries, trust me, you will not like this fries. The strawberry smoothie is an offer from the manager which was nice of him, but it’s also taste bad, smoothie suppose to be creamy and sweet, but this taste like shaved ice and...
Read moreWhen you imagine a beach bar, this is probably what pops into your head. As you can see, it is most beautiful at sunset. Once the sun goes down, the horizon gets pitch black but the bar lights shine onto the shore illuminating the beach with help from the starry sky. It was a full moon so there were baby crab boldly crawling the shoreline that night. The bar itself boasts a mix of locals, tourists and military patrons. They open from Thursday - Sunday starting at 4pm but make reservations if you want a table otherwise you'll have a 2-3 hour wait. Also come early or parking will become a challenge. We arrived at 4:30 on a Thursday and that is what we dealt with. We ordered at the bar. The bulgogi burger was fantastic. A toasted bun with shaved beef(bulgogi style) topped with red cabbage, dicon, and kim chee aioli. 🤌💋 Would have been 5 stars but there was no clear signage or direction on what to do upon arrival. There was no host/hostess at their post so we walked around back and was still confused. Eventually, we did get assisted at the front and by now, someone was now posted at the entrance. Post Covid, most placed have signs posted on what to do or where to go right at the entrance so this threw us off a bit. Other than that, our bartender was friendly and attentive. It was...
Read moreBeautiful location and great view of ocean. Right on beach. There was only one person as a server on a Saturday midday. One water refill offered. My complaint is with the pricing on the bill. Item prices were inflated over what was on the menu. I can do basic math and the bill was incorrect. There was $25 alcoholic beverage charge but none of the three adults ordered an alcoholic beverage. There were two kids and three adults. Two adults ordered salads with chicken, that was $56 for those salads and they were not very substantial. The chicken tasted like fish and was dry and overcooked. No bread or crackers come with it. The kids had burgers. The other adult had a burger. The three smoothies were delicious but tiny for $8. One adult had water and the other had a soft drink. Total bill with gratuity was $156.00. I suppose you're paying for the experience of the ocean view and not memorable food. Rather than sit and haggle with the one wait staff person, I paid it as the two kids were ready to go. I do not recommend going there unless you just want to pay a ridiculous amount for average food and no service with a great ocean view. Parking is free so maybe that's worth it.Since I am here visiting, there's no way I am...
