We went to grab a "quick" late dinner on our way home from a busy day. We pulled into the lot at 8:30 and went right up to a speaker. It took a few minutes to be acknowledged but that's ok since we could see it was busy.
The girl took our order and we eventually made our way to the first window. The girl took our money and gave us a receipt at 8:47 pm. We then waited several minutes to proceed forward. Even though the window was open she never acknowledged us. She was too busy practicing cheers or TikTok dances.
We watched 2 cars leave the drive-thru line due to the wait, but we understood it was busy. It was at that time that I noticed a vehicle had been pulled and was waiting in the spot for waiting drive-thru orders.
We finally got to the second window and were given drinks and asked to pull straight ahead to wait. We were not given any explanation for the delay. At 9:45 my husband had to go inside to use the restroom. The workers told him he wasn't allowed inside even though he had a mask on. He said we'd been waiting an hour for our food.
The manager said our order had been deleted. She asked my husband to come to the counter and place the order again! He finally came out with our food and we left at 9:54. Now, my husband is a VERY patient person but no fast food should take an HOUR! None of the workers or managers seemed apologetic or offered any type of compensation for our inconvenience.
Oh and the other person waiting had been "forgotten" as well. I saw that driver pull around and get back to the speaker and re-place her order as well. They brought her order out to her car and they had to walk past me to her. My window was down and the lady asked if I was with the guy inside or if they had "another issue.
Also, when we did FINALLY get our order, we left. We got home to find out it was wrong! Just a disappointment all the way around.
I should note that I emailed them and they did send us gift cards for several free meals.... So... I decided to try them again this evening. While I don't consider 15 mins in the drive thru "fast" food; it is better...
Read moreSitting here at the bethel McDonald's right now at 3-14-2020 at 5:37pm. Just arrived and sat in the lobby for about five minutes with just me and a friend. We hadn't said a word or done anything wrong, just sat down in a booth when a "manager" or whoever she was came up to our booth and threatened to kick me and my friend out of the lobby for using "profanity" they said they have me and her on camera coming up here earlier today using profanity. I haven't been here at all today, nor do I hardly ever come to this restaurant other than to go through the drive thru maybe once a month if that even. They have clearly mistaken us for possibly rude teenagers who were here earlier. Me and my friend are completely disrespected and ashamed about how we are treated. All we needed was to use the WiFi for a few short minutes to contact another friend of ours because we do not have wifi or cell phone service, but because of being completely disrespected and threatened to be kicked out over something that we were not involved in any way, I felt I needed to leave this review. I'm truly disgusted with the way my friend and I were treated not even being here for 5 minutes. We haven't disturbed anybody. The people here need to get their facts straight and not threaten innocent people. I WILL NOT return to this location And I'll make sure my friends and family will choose other options before spending their hard earned money at this establishment. There are plenty of other places around here to eat, and there are also other places who have way more respect for their customers than this business does. I would honestly like to see the "video evidence" of who is supposed to be me and my friend in here causing issues. I have no reason to do no such thing, neither does my friend. I've never been treated like that by any employee at any business. I'll make sure my friends and family are not...
Read moreI pulled up at the drive-thru order board at approximately 11:50 pm, ten minutes before closing. I was told that the menu was limited because they were "mostly closed"--no fries, no shakes, no burgers--but I could order "whatever was still leftover."
I asked about a quarter-pounder.
"Naw," came the response. "The grill's done shut down."
"But you don't close for ten more minutes," I said.
"We're mostly closed," she repeated.
"What does 'mostly closed' even mean?" I asked. "Shouldn't the grill be shut down after you close?"
My question went unanswered. Now the manager's voice came over the drive-thru speaker.
"What do you want?" she asked. "We close in a few minutes."
"It sounds as if you're already closed," I said.
"No," she said. "If we were already closed, the lights would be off and I wouldn't be talking to you."
There was more said between us as the conversation continued. Not that it mattered. She wasn't listening to me.
Years ago, I had worked for my uncle's two McDonald's restaurants while I put myself through college. We opened on time every morning with a full menu, and we closed at the prescribed hour with a full menu, up to the last minute.
I was trying to explain to her that a restaurant doesn't close when you turn off the lights, it closes when you shut down the grill; but she wasn't hearing it.
So I drove off to the Wendy's next door, where I was able to get a bacon cheeseburger at two minutes...
