I blame cooperate for the incompetency of Burger King in general. You would think food quality and service would be different at different locations. While I do not frequent Burger King, I have NEVER been satisfied by a visit at ANY location. My visits are always plagued with incorrect orders and terrible customer service. Today was the the LAST time I will attempt to make a purchase from any Burger King. Specific to this location and this mornings visit, it was a drive thru visit. A voice come over the speaker "Go ahead with your order" very blunt and cold. I begin and I am cut off by an annoyed tone saying "Hold on a minute". So i say ok, and wait. Voice comes back on and asks me for my order and I tell them what I want. The person then proceeds to tell me to pull around with some other instruction that I did not quite understand. So i pull around and there is a car waiting to pull up to the window. I sat there for a few min then thought, well maybe the lady told me to pull around the car. Since nothing was happening and I was a little contused, i pulled around the car and the lady comes to the window and i ask , did you say i should pull around the car? this person, who clearly hates her job and has no concept of good customer service scolds me and insists she said to pull behind the car and that they were waiting for something. She was rude and frankly obnoxious and I told her never mind I didn't want my order and that she was rude. She said something after but I cannot be sure what it was as at that point I was very agitated and disappointed in yet another bad experience at Burger King. I did toss an obscenity out at her... shame on me. I realize that was not my best moment, but I digress. I am curious, when did fast food restaurants have cars wait for their order before the pay window? Don't they usually have you pay and then pull ahead or park in a designated spot to wait for your food? There were only 2 cars ( i was one of them) in the drive thru and none in the parking lot. I don't even know how...
Read moreI haven't been to Burger King in over 5 years. But today, HAD to try the new Ch'King Sandwich (fire your marketing team, that name is terrible).
I pulled into the store at Telegraph Rd & Vanborn Rd in Taylor, MI. I was greeted promptly, and professionally. My order was quickly taken, and I was asked to 'pull around'. The gentleman at the window was polite and friendly, took my money and quickly returned my change, then politely asked me to pull forward.
At the next window I was again professionally greeted and my drink handed to me. The lady asked me to pull ahead, and said we were waiting on my chicken, but it would be right out. I pulled ahead, and a few minutes later my food arrives!
The fries were hot and crispy, but so covered in salt that they were inedible.
There was a bag of jalapeño poppers in the bag... I assumed a 'sorry for your wait' token. They were wonderful!
I dove in for the real prize; the chicken sandwich! They look AMAZING in the pictures/advertising!
And I pulled out an Impossible Whopper.
With a sigh of resignation, I head inside. I greeted the person at the counter with a polite, "Sorry to bother you, but..."
Suddenly the friendly demeanor is gone, the burger snatched from my hand, and she angrily stomped away.
She called over her shoulder, "What was your order?" I replied, crispy chicken, #9, with a diet soda.
There is some grumbling out of sight, she comes back, grabs a sandwich from the warmer, shoves it in a bag, and hands it to me.
I offer to pay for the jalapeño poppers, she declines, politely.
I go back to my truck, unwrap my fresh sandwich, and it looks nothing like the picture.
I am holding a sad, thin, droopy, piece of chicken that has been under a warmer for a long time.
It's not crispy, it's barely warm, it's pathetic.
Maybe I'll be back in...
