First problem:
I came in one night to taylorsvile location everything was fine until I was asked for payment. I produced a punch card which was filled (I liked the food! Spicy chicken bowl hot!)
The cashier proceeded to count the punches, then instead of giving me my free meal she stamped it and handed it back. It plainly showed 10 stamps and 11 is free. She wasn't pleasant about it, there was no "hey sorry" it was very matter of fact and IDAF without saying it. The complete disregard for customer whom had been in fact going to this restaurant for at least a year.
I happened to know the owner worked at the draper location. One day when I picked up food there and spoke with her about my problem. In so many words she had told me that she had trained them to do that. And then asked me how the food was. There was very little empathy and more of a feeling it was her protecting her business because apparently stamp card fraud is a problem there. I walked away from the conversation feeling like my problem with my treatment was not only disregarded but I also felt like the owner did not care much for the feedback. I don't claim to know how to run a small business or know anything about the food industry. But I do know how customer service works.
Third time: Today I went back to the taylorsville location and ordered my regular meal. And low and behold the cashier at the counter counts my new punch card again and stamps it instead of taking it. I go through the punch card and count her and show her there is ten and she tells me the one is a mis stamp! I actually got a little vocal with her. I did end up getting the meal and paying 2 dollars for my small drink.
I really want to support local business. But being treated poorly with IDGAF about your experience I just really want to know small business owner. Is it really worth the extra $8 over the 80 per punch card I've given you in a couple months time? I'm sure there is some profit in it. Or maybe the fact I've probably given you over $500 in business. I don't know, I'm sure it is small cookies for you. But bad business is bad business and you have earned my no...
Read moreThe man at the counter was very nice and brought us our food when it was ready, asked lots of questions trying to be helpful / ask if we had what we needed . For that reason i truly hate to leave a negative revirw but i was really disappointed with the food and the atmosphere / smell in the location (Taylorsville) and it was so radically different than the photos online. For 14 and 13 dollars a plate plus the request to tip when you paid, i had hoped to enjoy so.e fresh and tasty food with lots of healthy vegetables.
However the veggies were overcooked, quite mushy, and did not taste fresh at all to the point i wondered if it was from a frozen mix. Cabbage and broccoli give off a particular odor when evercooked, and i realized when my plate was in front of me that this is what i smelled as soon as i walked in the restaurant (i peobably should have left when the smell hit me). We asked for one of our plates with no additional sauce (other than the marinade which was already cooked into the meat) and although it was dry, it tasted much much better than the one that was served with the sauce.
The teriyaki was watery and salty, there was an additional spicy sauce with chili seeds in it which i liked but the amount of sauce was just waaaay too much, and it just didn't taste good. If the veggies were fresh like in the menu photos, some of the sauce could have been absorbed by the veggies but i didn't want to add more moisture and thus mushiness. I did like the brown rice, it had a really nice texture and flavor, but all the sauce made it hard to enjoy. I should have probably asked for a re-make with sauce on the side but the guy was trying so hard, and was so nice, and i didn't want to...
Read moreThe first time I discovered this gem I walked into The store in Park city. I was driving a big black stretch LIMO. The owner of the company told me he saw A Limo pick up a hitchhiker last night. I told him was it on going on the freeway to Park City, and he said yes. I Told him that was me. Apparently, he thought it was as cool as the hitchhiker I picked up. Because he told me that was the coolest thing he saw. He gave me a card with several free meals on it. I guess that phrase “One good deed deserves another” is true. I wasn’t hooked on it Because I got free food for a week, but because the food is bomb! I Continue to eat here as much as I could. I still love the one in Park City for sure. But we live in Taylorsville, and eat here mostly. Love the staff in the food here also. Every time we come here, Sebastian Go’s above and beyond to make sure everyone that’s there and us are taken care of. He's excellent at his job! Very fortunate to have them as an employee. Thanks again for great service and great food. And to the owner, hope to see you again one of these days. You’re...
