Tita's Restaurant Mexican food & bar — Restaurant in Taylorsville

After seeing a couple of TikTok videos about this restaurant, my mom and I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing.

We ordered an appetizer and two meals. The appetizer took 45 minutes to arrive, and by that time, we were already wondering about the status of our meals. When I asked our waitress how much longer the food would take, I was told it would only be a few more minutes. However, after another 20 minutes had passed, we noticed that other guests who arrived after us were already being served.

I approached one of the staff at the front to ask if we could have our food to-go instead. She said she would let our waitress know, but we never saw our waitress again after receiving the appetizer. About 10–15 minutes later, someone from the front staff brought out our food. While we appreciated finally getting our meals, it felt like our concerns had been ignored.

To add to the frustration, one of our dishes—the mushroom steak—was missing the rice and beans that were listed on the menu. By that point, it didn’t seem worth it to call or go back to ask for the missing items.

We were excited to try this restaurant, but the long wait, lack of communication, and missing food left us disappointed. It seemed like no one was concerned about the delay or about addressing us during the wait. While the food itself was okay, the overall experience was enough to make us hesitant...

We came to try the taco all you can eat buffet. The tortillas are homemade and soft. The tortillas were breaking apart easily. They put quite a bit of topping on your tortilla. It’s unlimited, we got full with 4 tacos because the tortillas are huge. They also offer a side of rice and refried beans. The rice was me, it was a bit hard. The beans were yummy. Although, it’s not the best tacos I’ve had they were still ok and I would go back only for the price. Overall they were decent tacos imo. Everyone that was there when we went were there for the tacos. You go up to the lady serving the tacos and tell her what you want.

Options: tinga, al pastor, pork with cactus, chicharrón in green salsa (the pork wasn’t the crispy chicharron it was just the skin which had been cooked in salsa), potatoes with chorizo, grilled chicken

The carnitas were kinda dry (it was meh) The chicharron was chewy (did not like it) The al pastor was in a sauce (it was good) The tinga was good The potatoes with chorizo were good but too much potato vs. chorizo The pork with cactus was good

Me and my Son(19) went here Monday 8/19/24 for lunch. I figured we needed to give the new local spot a try? Holy crap am I glad we did! Our server was a very nice young lady greeted us and made us feel welcome. The chips and beans were delicious and complementary I believe? My son had just woke up so he ordered the pancakes! Thats it just pancakes. He said they were good! I asked the server what she liked? She said the Birra tacos and consume. I do love Birra! So I went with that. Service was quick but not like fast food that’s for sure. You could tell they made them to order and spent a few minutes doing it. I personally like that in a place for lunch l, I feel it’s a quality over quantity thing. Any way my tacos were hot crisp and looked amazing! They were pretty stuffed with meat a lot bigger than anywhere else! They tasted incredible! Great flavor in the meat and the consume! Honestly some of the tastiest Birra I’ve had! Onion and cilantro on the side went perfect with the meat and cheese. All and all very satisfied with the food and service of Titas! I will definitely be going back and suggesting...
