We have been to at least 11 "Mexican" restaurants in the western suburbs of Philadelphia, many more than once, ranging from highly-Americanized chain-type to small very authentic family-owned. This is one of the latter. We arrived at about 8PM on a Saturday & the parking lot was empty! That was scary & we thought that was not a good sign. The 4 of us were the only ones there. The waitress took our drink order, including a complimentary Margarita, if we wanted one (it was ok, not great). Unlike many similar restaurants, Pico di Gallo & chips are not included, it had to be ordered, but guacamole & a couple of other unfamiliar "dips" were served with chips. The guacamole & dips were great, the gauc, even exceptional according to 1/2 off us. Things were looking up! The menu was the most comprehensive/largest we have ever seen in this type of restaurant. We ordered entree salads, "really-loaded" tacos, & fajitas. All were very impressive & tailored to our individual likes & dislikes! One of us even said this is her new favorite Mexican restaurant!. You can check out their voluminous menu on their website. All-in-all, the food & service were great, prices very reasonable, & this was a serendipitous...
Read moreFood was alright, but we called in advance, they told us to order at time of pick up because it would be ready in 5 minutes. We called back at 5 till and they told us 30 min; we walked in and there was no one else around, and that would have all been fine, but then they gave us the wrong items - we discovered after leaving - and the girl at the counter, I guess the daughter / one of them - was sulky & standoffish. The food was pretty good & prices were alright but we probably won’t return based on the service. There are a few other taco shops around. But the owner was really smiley when he popped out of the kitchen for 5 seconds & that’s why I’m going with 3 stars instead of lower. He was working hard & it’s often hard with teenagers in family businesses, I reckon. Just surprising the order was wrong when literally no one else was there & it was all repeated back correctly, and mostly she...
Read moreExcellent! The food was absolutely amazing, and tasted and looked wonderful as well. From the Nachos Supreme that were some of the best I had, to the Guatemalan Taco's that were not only presented so beautifully, but they tasted awesome. My mom's burrito and dad's Chimichanga both were massive and looked awesome (they have so many special meat choices other than the typical beef and chicken for the Chimichangas! My dad got Steak and Bacon. 😋
Delivery was a couple minutes early which was awesome! And I made a special note/request to make the Nachos not spicy because it was my 4 year old sons first time trying Nachos. And they not only read and followed the instructions, the driver also made a verbal notice that they made sure they weren't Spicy for us.
I highly highly recommend this restaurant, from the food to the service, and even the prices! All very very spot on!...
