I hate writing this review. We went for dinner on Wednesday evening for dinner with a party of 10. We had highly recommended this restaurant to everyone because of their varied menu and nice environment. We started with a whole bunch of appetizers which were very good. Then the entrees came. My husband and I both had the veal oscar which was a dinner special that we both love. Although it was constructed differently than usual I was still looking forward to it. We ended up just eating the veal with fontina on it. The mixture of chopped crab and asparagus was set atop an order of pasta. I don't know if it had a sauce on it but it was not good. My son-in-law had the veal francise which he had had a couple weeks ago there and said it was the best he ever had and was looking forward to having it again. He said it was terrible that night. Unawares to me they had also been there the previous night and he had the lobster ravioli which he said was bad as well. I asked the other diners with us how their meals were and they all said "okay" I think just to be polite. Some of them went on to have desserts which they said were delicious.
I don't know what happend these couple nights but we were very disappointed and embarassed that we had told everyone how good the food was and that we were sure they'd enjoy it. Sadly, we were wrong.
I really hope that this was just a little "glitch" and that this gets worked out. Although I'm not sure my husband will agree to go back and give it another try. It was our "go to" place right here...
Read moreAs I sit here eating my two reheated slices of buffalo chicken pizza, my mind has wandered back through the past 8 years my family has lived in Souderton and the many times we either ate in or had take out from your restaurant. The quality of food was almost always exemplary, as well as was the service. However, not really so today. My meal consisted of my two slices of pizza and a bottled Coke Zero. When I asked if I may sit at one of the 6 vacant window tables, I was informed that counter food customers are to sit at the counter provided. The tables are for "dine-in" customers. This newly assigned second-class client sat at the proper locale. Courtesy, respect and quality customer service seems to have been killed and buried by the COVID-19 virus. No one seems to remember that prior to that pesky illness those qualities were a staple for local businesses to survive. Please, resurrect those qualities in your establishment once again! Although, my meager meal came to a mere $11.66 (plus a $2.33 tip for allowing me to take the four steps to my retrieve my own meal), it would have been nice to be treated as though I had spent the $40 to $120 for the many meals we paid for with family and friends who were permitted a nice window table back then. I know you can do this because I have experienced it many...
Read moreWe had a retirement party for 65 people in the private room downstairs just yesterday. It was an afternoon event and we had appetizers and a cash bar. Giovanni, as well as Tori and Ava (I hope I remember their names right!) were great to work with and so friendly. The atmosphere down there is beautiful, with dimmable lights and a very modern rustic feel. Giovanni waited for me to let him know when we were ready for the food to be put out, and everyone thought it was great. We had cheesesteak rolls, buffalo chicken cheesesteak rolls, mozz sticks, wings, and roasted Brussels sprouts. They also allowed us to decorate as we wanted, and let us bring a cake in for the party. We had a lot of speakers giving speeches at the party and ended up going over our allotted time, by about an hour and a half. I was so worried that they might have had another party scheduled that night, but thankfully they did not. We held up the servers’ day and I was profusely apologizing to them, it was so awkward while people (including the guest of honor) were still giving speeches. Tori and Ava were so understanding and stayed for us, and Giovanni only asked that we take care of them for the extra time - which we happily did. Would definitely hold another event here in the future! Thank you...
