The situation I had with Kathy more than warrants a bad review. Kathy and I had an appointment earlier this month for a cake tasting due tot the fact that I could only come on a weekend date, we had planned the cake tasting a month out.

The day before our cake tasting appointment I received a text from my sister, she was having her baby! How exciting, but oh no I had to cancel a same day hair appointment and the next day cake tasting as well.

My hairstylist was so accommodating, her appointment was the same day we were leaving to drive up to SF to see my sister and hopefully get there before she had the baby.

I left Kathy a voicemail about cancelling the appointment for the next day since her phone lines were down (as she had stated in a four page text!) Yes, four pages of text, one sentence to congratulate me (as I am driving to SF) and the rest of the four page text to tell me I could not reschedule because she was going to give my date away.

So what is that you needed, money? I would have been happy to give you money, sign a contract, if you were holding my date and someone else really wanted it why wouldn't you offer me the opportunity to hold the date?

Needless to say, the situation really upset me. I couldn't believe that someone would take a moment like this and turn it into something negative. My sister was having her first baby, and I'm glad I cancelled, and I'm glad that I went to go see her. I don't care to be treated so inhumanely, do you not have any empathy? I treat everyone the way I want to be treated, and I would suggest you do the same. You see, one day you will be in the same...

First impression when I called to make apt. was Kathy the lady who runs(owns) this bakery is not very friendly, however she is contracted through the venue so we went with it. Mistake! We went in for our cake tasting and picked out our flavors etc. the pieces of cake she gave us were dry and not terribly flavorful. We excused it thinking that perhaps no frosting made it dry out faster? Or that the tasting pieces were not as fresh since this isn’t the real deal. Mistake #2. Overall our wedding was fabulous we loved every single detail.... except the cake ...... 1. We had ordered a 3 tier and received a 2 tier. 2. The cake was so dry and tasteless that people not only left it on their plates but commented ...... multiple times! We STILL had most of the top tier left after the wedding but it was trashed. My husband and I tried it again once home and decided even getting a cake at Ralph’s would have ended up...

What a Wonderful cake. It all started with the tasting, she was extremely attentive and accommodating to our tastes and likes. She was very helpful in crating the cake of my wife's dreams. Not only did she work with us every step of the way, but went out of her way to include the Cake topper, and pearls on the cake that we brought with us a day before the wedding. The Cake was so beautiful, it almost made my wife cry to cut it into pieces and serve to our guests. Once in slices, it was the most delicious cake I have ever tasted in my life. My only regret (and my wife told me I had to) is that I had to share it with our friends and family. Which of course EVERYONE LOVED IT!!.
