So today I went to temecula lanes. I've been once before and it was fine. The bowling was good. The only problem today was I had rented out the VIP room and your supposed to get a tv and music and lights and all that. When we first got there. The room wasnt ready for technical difficulties and it took 30 minutes for them to start and we didnt get any extra time or at least offered a lane outside the room. 2 hrs for what we got is not worth the room. I couldnt even hear the music. The balls got stuck and with that time fixing the machine the kids didnt even get to bowl anymore. They kicked us out 15 minutes before the time was up. I'm not saying it's a bad place but I dont think I'd get VIP again. The lady was frantic because at the start everything was just not working I guess and they got backed up on food orders. Food was good and it didnt take that long for food to come out even though they said they were backed up. The only other problem for me was the women's bathroom was kind of gross. They need to clean them better. Oh and idk if its optional for masks indoors but I thought I read online you have to wear masks. It looked like no one wore masks except the people from my group and maybe 1 other guy I saw bowling. Other than that everyone was maskless. With that said my dad had got another lane to bowl and they had no problems outside the room. The bowling place in general looks descent. They did say they would refund my mom some of the money so will see. I have to check back tomorrow. So I'd go again just not do VIP. To...
Read moreWe attended a friend's daughter's birthday party on Saturday, March 2, and it was VERY busy inside, undoubtedly due to the rainy weather outside. This was my first visit to Temecula Lanes (my last visit to this location it was a Stater Bros store) and I was surprised to see more than just bowling lanes. There are video games, billiard tables, a bar and a grill, and some activity for every member of the family. A staff member acknowledged that they were indeed unusually busy, but I observed that they all handled the "crowds" very professionally and with a great, helpful attitude. The employee who was helping with our friend's daughter's party was quick to offer assistance and suggestions (not pushy at all) and handled children and their parents with a smile on her face. She really cared that everyone was enjoying themselves. I think I would have given a fifth star in this review if the location was newer, with newer carpets, a fresh coat of paint, or a little cleaner. I certainly don't wish for that to sound ungrateful nor disrespectful, just my observation. We enjoyed ourselves and I would recommend this location and the activities to anyone looking for a couple of hours...
Read moreWe've gone to this bowling alley many times and there is one constant that we've seen every time. Lane 19 and 20 don't work and the employees all stumble around like they're out of it or honestly don't care about the customers.
We went in and the lane wouldn't reset the pins correctly and instead of switching us to another lane that was available, the kid who was working at the front desk with his eyes glued to his phone just hit the rest button about 5 times until the pins finally stood up straight. I walked up to the front desk 4 times to ask for help with the pins until we couldn't take it anymore and asked for our money back. Seems like a management problem allowing these teenagers to play games on their phones while customers are getting ripped off because lanes don't work.
The sad thing is, we were here a couple of months ago and that lane was giving people trouble too. They also got their money back. Its a shame to see a place with what looks like a nice atmosphere to end up being complete garbage with unengaged employees. I don't intend on coming back and I would highly recommend that people consider the risk of your lane being defective before...
