This evening was my FIRST TIME EVER going into the newest location of Better Buzz. I had not ever heard of this brand before. Prior to going, I, of course read the reviews and was excited at what I was reading. I went in @ 7:45PM, it was not busy at all. There was no other customers there at this time. So I was excited to hear a greeting like all the other reviews, but was quickly disappointed as I noticed that the 2 employees in there at this time, did not even look up OR give me a greeting like everyone else in the reviews got!!! The cashier who took my order did not even look up and smile, or even make eye contact! She just kept looking at whatever she was doing, or looking at whatever she was looking at and mumbled, "Let me know when you're ready." I ordered a large Raspberry Blondie iced. Which was DELICIOUS 😋 The barista who made my drink did give a friendly, upbeat, "Enjoy! Have a great night!". I, personally love getting a "welcome" greeting when going in and patronizing a business. To me, it means, "we're glad you chose to come in and see us," instead of going to Starbucks, or any other place! That, and you feel appreciated for your choice of where to purchase something. Read moreFood and coffee are decent. Pricey but worth it. Service not so good. They’ve messed up my order before. I just ordered online at 4:45 in the AM. When I got there at 4:56 nobody was in drive thru. I pull up to get my order and they said “Oh we’re just making it so it’s fresh for you.” That frustrated me because I was on the way to work and didn’t have time, hence why I ordered online. They gave me my coffee and said just another minute on food. 3 minutes goes by and they say “Pull around to the front because they burned the toast.” I said no I have to go and am now running late. They said to “email and request a refund.” There is no such email I can find. In my confirmation email it says to call the store with order issues. I’ve called twice now and no answer. The only time I order Better Buzz is before work and probably won’t order again if this is their norm.
UPDATE - They said they processed a refund 9 days ago and nothing has shown in my account and I never got confirmation documentation. This location is either more forgetful than I originally...
Read moreI’ve given this place multiple chances, and every single visit has been a mess.
First visit: Waited over 10 minutes for a plain warmed croissant. When I asked for a refund because I was tired of waiting, instead of apologizing and fixing it, the staff tried to argue with me and said it would be “easier” for them to just give me the croissant. That’s not how customer service works.
Most recent visit: I placed a mobile order, arrived 10 minutes after the “ready” time, and my drinks weren’t even started. When I pointed out I was missing a coffee, the barista’s snarky reply was, “Sorry, it takes more than a minute to make a coffee.” No — it takes more than a minute if you start making it after the customer shows up.
If Dutch Bros can operate faster with bigger crowds and friendlier service, there’s no excuse for Better Buzz to be this slow, disorganized, and dismissive.
At this point, the question is: Does management even care? Because until I see serious changes in how this place is run, I’ll be spending my money elsewhere — and telling others to...
