6/14/25: Short version - plenty of parking, a sister restaurant to Texas Roadhouse, TVs galore, smiling staff abounds, and good food. Definitely worth a revisit.
Long version - Stopped in this particular Saturday afternoon for a late lunch. There were quite a few people already waiting & we were told the wait would be about 15 minutes. Thought it was odd considering I saw quite a few open tables on the one side, but then maybe they were reserved. Regardless, our wait was really only about 5 minutes.
The restaurant is divided into the bar eating area & the family eating area. TVs were plastered all over the walls, the family side had some funny & cute metal sculptures all over the place, with a large wall decoration made out of what looked like all beer cans, in the shape of a 33.
Our server, Shomari, was fantastic. He knew the menu well, he told us about upcharges (traditional bone-in wings were an extra $2), he was very polite & friendly. It was not a loud lunch crowd on the bar side so we could hear Shomari speak clearly when he repeated our meal order to ensure it was accurate. He was extremely attentive despite the lunch crowd, never letting my sister's lemonade go empty. When I told him I didn't need more sweet tea at the moment, he brought me over some water instead -- that shows a server who knows his stuff, well thought out action.
The appetizer platter was pretty hefty w/ food. The teriyaki glaze on the wings was delicious; the pickles, despite being thin, were crisply fried, as were the crooked cheese sticks. They were not dripping with grease, either. My only critique with them would be to portion out the pickles & cheese better - less pickles, with a couple more cheese sticks.
My sister's 12 oz ribeye looked to be a bit thin, but it was extremely juicy; she said the broccoli had some seasoning on it that was very good which she enjoyed; and the garlic mashed potatoes, with gravy & bacon bits, I tasted & were delicious. My wild shroomin' burger was also tasty & well seasoned. After Shomari told me the tater tots were seasoned well, I can confirm he knows his stuff -- they were very well seasoned (no ketchup needed!), and the pickle spear was crispy.
As I was trying to gracefully leave the booth w/ our bag of leftovers w/o twisting an ankle (you had to step down from it), another server was standing close by & asked if I needed help. She laughed when I told her no, I just didn't want to fall on my face. She was also very friendly & chatted us up for a few seconds, telling us to have a great day.
Good food, friendly staff, reasonably priced. What more could you ask for? We both agreed Bubba's 33 is...

Bubba’s 33 has become one of our absolute favorite places to eat — the sports bar vibe is fantastic, with TVs everywhere, making it the perfect place to catch a game or hang out with friends. And while it has a lively bar atmosphere, it’s also family-oriented, which we appreciate.
Every time we arrive, we’re greeted with friendly smiles and a warm “welcome in” from the hostess. Sometimes they even hold the door open for us when we’re arriving or leaving — little gestures like that instantly make us feel at home.
My husband and I usually head to the bar to eat, where Danielle, a super-friendly and multitasking bartender, is always attentive, personable, and offers great menu suggestions. We’ve also had excellent service from Lexa and Olivia — the entire bar team is terrific.
The food and service are consistently outstanding! The onion rings are a must-try (seriously, they're AMAZING), and the poblano spinach dip is one of our favorite appetizers. Whether it's their flavorful pizzas or juicy burgers, everything we’ve tried has been excellent. Plus, they have great daily specials — burgers on Mondays, pizzas on Tuesdays, and wings on Wednesdays — so there’s truly something for everyone.
A massive shoutout to Mark, the kitchen manager, who regularly checks in with us to ensure everything is perfect. We had casually mentioned how great it would be to see a University of Arizona banner up — and to our surprise, it was hanging on the wall the next time we came in. That kind of personalized service is rare and speaks volumes about the team.
Nikki, the manager, always stops by to make sure we’re enjoying our food and drinks. We appreciate her presence and how she checks in with other tables as well — she’s committed to high-quality service. We also recently met Allie, one of the servers, who was bubbly, upbeat, and a pleasure to chat with.
And don’t even get us started on the margaritas — they’re the BEST around! Always consistent, delicious, and you can even add an extra shot at a great price.
Every visit is enjoyable, thanks to the positive energy of the entire staff. The kitchen is always happy to accommodate swaps or special requests, which makes the experience even better. Bubba’s 33 gets it right — every...
Read moreWe went on opening night and was able to be seated right away. We had read previous reviews about how great the place was in other locations so we were excited to try it.
My husband and daughter ordered the double patty burgers which were huge and flavorful and they shared wings with fries. The boneless wings are more like chicken tenders cut up. I ordered a veggie pizza. We also ordered an appetizer- fried pickles and 2 cokes. Everything was great except for the pizza IMO. It lacked any flavor, even the crust which was supposed to be a butter crust or something. I think if you like a very basic plain tasting pizza this would be for you. We also ordered regular wings to go for someone at home which he said they were very good. Our total bill was about $80 and we tipped $18.
The pizza however, is the only negative thing I have to say about Bubba’s 33. Food came out fresh and hot. The service was phenomenal from those up front who greeted us and made us feel welcome to our server, Madison. She was so amazing, so attentive, so bubbly and welcoming, happy to answer every question, made recommendations, and had our drinks filled at all times. The manager on duty also stopped by our table to check in on us.
Because the service was so great and my husband and daughter’s food was good we’ll give it another try. Eating out has become so expensive that usually we’d move on and eat elsewhere if I didn’t care for the food but the service superseded the one and only issue. There’s lots of options so I’ll try something else next time. And we’ll definitely request Madison again!
The restaurant itself is nice and large and it was very clean, hopefully it stays that way. They also have a nice patio (that’s dog friendly!) and nice bar area with plenty of tvs. They have a large parking lot so it’s easy to get a spot. The restaurant can definitely get loud but it’s not terrible. I’d definitely recommend everyone going to check them out and support the...
