I love Texas Roadhouse! The one near the old Metro Center is the one I usually go to, and they have always been friendly and the food has always been great. Yesterday I went to the TR right off the 10 near IKEA. The experience was vastly different than my usual experience. The hosting staff seemed bothered to be there. I requested a table for 4 and was asked if my entire party was present, I said, "they are parking the car," (because they were). She took my name and rudely told us to stand against a wall. So, we moved over to the wall and another host immediately approached us and said, "is your full party here?" I said (because only a minute had passed), they are parking the car. She said, rudely, "you can't be seated until your full party is here." I said okay, and walked back to my designated space on the wall. Thirty seconds later, in walks my friend (who was parking the car). We were seated quickly after that, which I appreciate, but why so much attitude? Also, usually, the host talks to guests as they walk them back to their table. This one did not. I don't truly care about this, but when you experience rudeness as you walk in the front door you start to notice other things. Anyway, we were seated and this is what I will communicate about there rest of the service: it was substandard, but bearable. The waiter did not smile or even pretend like he wanted to be there, which I think is funny only because TR forces their waitstaff to wear t-shirts that state the opposite of what we experienced. We waited until our food was almost gone before he brought us refills on our drinks and kind of slammed them down when he brought them over. It was very strange. As for the food, I ordered a prime rib that was easily 1/4 fat and my friend ordered a sweet potato that looked like it had been roasted for 15 hours. The other...
Read moreI will never go to the Tempe location again. I would go at least once every month until a recent visit. The manager was awful. Lied to me and then made sure to make my family miserable the whole visit. I’m so disappointed and heart broken. I will never go here again. I called ahead to get on waitlist for 11 people. I spoke with the manager, and he specifically stated I can give you two tables in the same area, but I can not accommodate you all at one table. Ok perfect! We get there and my parents drove so far to be told they have to sit on the other side of restaurant then us. Mind you we made plans way ahead of time, got cake, it was my husbands birthday. Why would we sit clear across the restaurant from each other? I then asked to speak to this manager, and he argued with me. I am sorry, but I would never treat a customer like that. Then we sit down at a table and had asked ok there is people leaving can we use that table when they leave? It's in the same room. He then got really upset for us even asking. So he seated people at the table anyways. We then asked the couple would you mind moving to the same table just farther down, so we can have are whole family together. We even offered to buy their dinner. We just wanted to be with our family. They were so kind and said yes. Well it made the manager mad, so he came over to the table of the other people and offered to comp their dinner for the inconvenience. After how rude he was and how inconsiderate he was we got treated horrible the remainder of the time that we spent there, and it was highly disappointing very unprofessional, and I would love to speak to the owner of the company. This is my first time in my life that I've ever filed a complaint. I'm disgusted...
Read moreWent to Texas Roadhouse yesterday around 7:10 with a party of about 10 people they informed us it would be a 10 min wait and would be in a booth for 8 people saying we could squeeze our extra guests in to accommodate the workers area and other guests. One of the people in our party was going to be late but we wanted to get seated because it was our friends 22nd birthday and we didn’t want to inconvenience the servers with having to serve us past close (we had paid and left the restaurant by 8:55 pm) Our waitress, Victoria, decided to greet our table and have the biggest attitude I had ever witnessed at an establishment that is built upon customer service. She was moody and talking to other servers and staff about our behavior even though we weren’t loud or disrespectful, all we wanted to do was order our food and have a good time. It was hard for us to get her attention it seemed as though she was avoiding us. She just brought us bread and decided we wouldn’t be getting waters until our entire party arrived. When it came time for us to get drinks half of our table was planning on buying the expensive alcoholic drinks but due to her actions towards us as patrons the table was to nervous to order anything other than water and one beer (which she took over 15 mins to bring to the table) also when we had informed her that it was our friends birthday we were met with a shrug and a blunt “okay.” As we began ordering our meals her tone was extremely condescending until she realized every person was purchasing a meal at or above $20. I felt like she was rushing us to leave and it seemed like she wanted to be anywhere except work. Over all unpleasant experience with okay food. Victoria I hope you have...
