It's All Greek To Me — Restaurant in Tempe

Worst place I've eaten in 2023: Customer service was non-existent. My wife and I ordered 2 of the same chicken gyro sandwiches. My Wife's order: We simply asked for no tomatoes and no onions on hers, because of that we were charged a $1 Fee; we paid for them to use less product and do less work. She ended up getting a bowl with rice, lettuce and terribly cooked, extremely thin, rubbery chicken. No cheese & No Pita. At no point did either of us say anything about wanting a bowl.

My Order: I simply asked for no tomatoes. Mine came wrapped in a pita, with no cheese, enough sauce to make a pita bread soaked and fall apart, terribly cooked chicken, and yup TOMATOES!

I was offered no receipt, which he later asked me for in reference to our meals. He never asked if I wanted one and before I could ask him for one he was already in the back hiding. I then asked him for a copy once he came back from the back and he said he couldn't pull it back up. So I went to the table and decided I couldn't get a receipt.

Lastly - After 25 mins our food was ready. We walked up to get our meals and we were very confused due to what we had received. I went back up to the employees and told them what was wrong and what we ordered was not what you gave us. He looked at me like I was dumb and he insisted on arguing with me. He then shrugged me off and blamed the no reciept issue. I have the date and time my card was charged. At that point I knew I would never return. I choked down half the gryo sandwich, and my wife threw hers out completly because it was garbage. Will never return, very dissapointed. In these tough times, every dollar counts; also life moves very fast. I wish I could have both my money and time...

We had such a wonderful experience at It’s All Greek To Me at Tempe. The moment we walked in, we felt welcomed by the friendly staff and the cozy, casual atmosphere. You can tell they take pride in their food and service.

We tried the Beef Kebab Plate and the Mix Grill Plate, and both were amazing. The beef was tender, juicy, and well-seasoned, while the chicken and gyro on the mix plate were packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. The rice was fluffy, the salad was fresh and crisp, and the warm, soft pita paired perfectly with everything on the plate.

They even surprised us with free baklava, which was honestly the best we’ve had in a while crispy layers, perfectly sweet, and a delicious nutty filling that leaves you wanting more. It was such a thoughtful gesture that made our visit even more special.

What we loved most is that the portions are generous without compromising on quality, and you can truly taste the freshness and care in every bite. The service was quick and attentive, and you could see how much they care about their customers.

We love supporting local businesses that bring authentic flavors to the community, and It’s All Greek To Me has become one of our new favorites. If you’re craving flavorful, comforting Greek food, this place will not disappoint. We can’t wait to come back to try their falafel and gyros next time!

Top notch first experience. This is a place where you view the menu posted on boards above the counter and place your order. We were greeted upon arrival. We sat when we arrived as we were meeting friends and we chatted for a bit. An employee, Sargon, came to our table, showed us handheld menus and described them in detail. He informed us on how to place our orders at the counter and offered, for our convenience, to come back when we were ready and he'd take our orders at our table, if we'd like. He was funny, amiable, pleasant, and thoughtful. We got up and placed our orders at the counter as there was a steady stream of customers and we didn't want to interrupt Sargon tending to others. We had questions regarding the menu which he answered expertly and made accommodations to our tastes. Our food was delivered to our table promptly. All of our dishes were beautifully presented and were mouth-wateringly delicious. Wow! Sargon displayed such pride in the establishment and care for his customers we thought he must be part owner. As we left, we were thanked for our patronage. I was so impressed by the level of service, as I was leaving the area a couple hours later, I felt compelled to stop back in and find out our server's name and thank him, again.
