Top-Tier Service and Celebration Vibes at Red Robin Tempe Marketplace
First Impressions We headed to Red Robin at Tempe Marketplace for a birthday celebration and were immediately greeted with a welcoming, lively atmosphere that made it clear we picked the right spot for a fun night out.
Atmosphere & Vibe The vibe was upbeat without being overwhelming, AKA, perfect for families, celebrations, or casual weekend hangouts. The restaurant was clean, the music was fun, and the energy made it easy to settle in and enjoy ourselves.
What I Tried We went classic: burgers, Mac n’ cheese, and of course, all the bottomless fries you could dream of. Every dish came out hot, fresh, and exactly as ordered. And the cherry on top? Complimentary ice cream sundaes to help us celebrate. Simple, thoughtful, and delicious.
Service & Experience Here’s where Red Robin Tempe Marketplace truly shined. Our server, Raul, was hands-down one of the best servers we’ve had anywhere. Friendly, attentive, and completely on top of every detail, Raul made sure our experience was seamless and memorable. (Pro tip: he usually works weekend nights. Definitely worth asking for him if you want next-level service.)
Pro Tips or Heads-Up If you’re celebrating something special, let them know! The staff clearly enjoys making celebrations extra fun. And if you want a server who will take your experience from good to great, see if Raul is working.
Final Verdict From the food to the service to the lively atmosphere, Red Robin at Tempe Marketplace absolutely delivered. Whether you’re celebrating or just grabbing a burger, it’s the kind of place that reminds you why dining out can be so much fun.

Read moreMy God, this is my first time at this red Robin in a long time I went there to go pick up a GrubHub order today and the two people work in the front I can’t think of his name introduced himself to me, but the girl, Chris and him were working in the front and I swear I thought she was a manager because of how friendly she was how like Knowledgeable she was I mean literally took care of everyone of my age she got me fried she got me a lemonade while I waited her and the guy went and held the door for me. I mean it made me feel very special like if I had to eat in a restaurant I would pick this red Robin like obviously you guys trained your employees well cause I mean these two individual seriously should be promoted or something because I go out to eat a lot most people I see not everybody but a lot of people I see how bad customer service skills they’re unfriendly they don’t like their job and Chris and this guy I mean love their job you could just tell they enjoy working for your company. They were very nice they were kind they were You know very enthused to be there. They were nice to me. Extra nice went out of their way. I mean both he held the door for me. Got me fries got me lemonade one to make sure that I stirred the lemonade because of strawberries are at the bottom like these little things really make a difference when you show up to a spot to whether it be to eat there or pick up GrubHub order I will definitely be there to eat there. We have been to Red Robin more than 30 times, but this visit was by far the worst.
It began with the host yelling across the restaurant at the manager about where to seat us. She then shouted, “But they have kids!” It felt like a scene from the show Bluey, where the kids are pretending to run a restaurant. We were a family of four with two young daughters, ages 8 and 5, yet she still tried to seat us in the bar area. When I said we would prefer a different spot, she gave me a dirty look. The restaurant was only about a quarter full, so the seating issue made no sense. It felt like they were more focused on making sure each server had the same number of tables than on making guests feel comfortable.
She then brought us to a large table in direct sunlight, in the middle of summer in Arizona, and walked away without saying anything. I approached the manager to ask for a different table. He responded, “But you have a party of nine,” even though we clearly had only four people. He did move us, but his attitude was rude and dismissive, as if I was causing a problem just by asking.
Several staff members, including the manager, seemed distracted or possibly impaired. The atmosphere felt unprofessional and uncomfortable. Our server was friendly, but when I mentioned the situation, he said, “This is only my second day.” The manager never stopped by to follow up or check in.
We will not return to this location. I strongly recommend that corporate take a serious look at the staff and leadership here. Something is clearly not right based on my experience from multiple...
