This isn't about the food. Overall schlotzsky's generally has really good food. Sometimes it's about the atmosphere and the service in question. I understand that people destroy bathrooms, in general. However I also understand that working in a public setting, a company should not restrict people from using the restroom. I also get that you should be a paying customer, But when it's early morning and I was planning on going there for lunch and they refuse to let a person use the restroom, and basically try to force you into buying their product at that moment... Is really not okay. I explained to her that I would buy something but needed to use the restroom and she refused, If somebody comes in and they're in work uniform. It's probably a good idea to allow them to use the restroom because they're going to see that as a good quality for a business. I do believe that sometimes it's a judgment call over just simply falling rules. I would have came back at lunch time to get food from schlotzsky's because I love it, however I will not be going there to eat ever at this location, due to their restrictiveness of being able to use a restroom as sometimes it gets a bit difficult finding a restroom while you're working out in the field. I'm a licensed electrician and I have plenty of money to actually eat at schlotzsky's. Due to their behavior I will not be spending my money at this schlotzsky's and probably never spending my money there as I do believe sometimes again it is a judgment call as to whether you allow someone to use a restroom or not. We work hard out in the field and I do understand where these restrictive policies come from but again sometimes it's a simple judgment call as to whether you're going to allow somebody to use a freaking restroom or not. Her overall attitude wasn't good in any way and I know that I'm not going to make a huge difference and how many people will be eating there because this is such a big city, But I do understand that by making judgment calls based upon the rules that you were given in any circumstance can cause a loss of revenue whether it's minute or large. Sometimes people need to question why their rules were put in place and not single out every person that walks in and literally needs to use the restroom. You may see this as an insignificant rating but I do believe that there is sub substance to the quality of employees, when they cannot think critically and make judgment calls based on the person that's walking in and asking to use the restroom. Especially when somebody could look and surmise that that person might just come back if you treat them well. If they do this to too many people it will cause a small, again mostly insignificant source of revenue for schlotzsky's but again every customer should matter, as well as every potential customer. Thinking critically, making judgment calls as to who may be a potential customer and who definitely is not.... Is definitely a wise decision for any employee. Also, their attitude means everything and hers was not...
Read moreI decided to come back to this location after a very disappointing interaction a couple of years ago, food is really good, pricey but you get what you pay for, I ordered a Cinnabon about 2:30, it’s 2:51 and I ate all my food and still waiting for my desert , no follow up, when I said something he sounded annoyed that I even said anything and said I should have said something because he got busy, I did say something one I realized he took Cinnabon to other clients , but he expected for me to ask for it again, just bad service, just disappointed with this location, when I get cravings for schlotzskys I have to go to Scottsdale, they have great customer service and make my orders like I ask, I only gave them a 3 star because the food good, service- mediocre, cashier tried to blame me that he forgot my order, and he need some coaching on his customer service skills, all he needed to say was, I am sorry, let me get that for you. I wanted to point out that when I paid for the Cinnabon I moved out of the way and was going to wait for it( and my food) but he seemed annoyed and told me I didn’t need to wait for it that he would bring it out. Now I’m home eating my Cinnabon that is super dry around the edges because it went through the microwave twice, I didn’t pay over 5 bucks for a crusty dry Cinnabon- so 3 stars go down to two.
Update I finally got to the middle of the Cinnabon that was soft and fluffy, after trying to chew on crusty hard edges , I was having a hard time passing it through my throat even after drinking half a gallon of milk trying so make them softer.
And I’m realizing that the kid with the glasses, he never even said I’m sorry, he made it seem like if it was all my fault. Well I think he was right, it is my fault for giving this location another chance, 4 out of five I have a bad experience at this location.
Scottsdale- no...
Read moreI had a very simple order that was met with some complications. Brian took my order twice because the first time I forgot my wallet but somehow he figured I would order a different item upon my return.
Once I called in and let him and another female know the mistake not only did they put me on hold for a very simple mistake and had me repeat the situation. But they made it seem like it was my fault and projected the problem onto me. Saying that they confirmed my order had changed, which i didn’t recall, then blamed the issue on the headset.
After I came back to store to switch out the wrong order, the music inside the store was blasting soo loud it was really no wonder why they got my order wrong in the first place. To the point where the attendant didn’t hear my request for a window case cinnamon roll when I was standing at the register. It didn’t help that she had no interest in greeting me or talking to me once she realized who I was. Not that she had an attitude at all but it was stand-offish considering she was fine talking to her co-workers while switching out the order.
Personally as someone who has worked in food service, this experience was nothing short of a nightmare. This was suppose to be treat for myself after a long hard day and if anything it was the straw that broke the camels back.Had Brian or the other attendant been white I would easily have felt as if I were being treated with less concern due to my skin color. But at this point I don’t even think that is the case... this was just a bad situation made worse by bad customer service and a failure to care...
