We recently visited Lego land for one reason because my son follows @masterbuilderalec and we drove between countries to come and view and see his work. After paying the entrance fee for three our excitement was building to meet the master Alec. As we made it through the “main legoland build”, which was really cool and after going through the rest of it that was the only thing we felt was worth any viewing. I know they state that there was a movie and formula one builds kids play area maze rooms for other birthday stuff simulators that were not working, dark room area that also was not working. When we went to build out so called Lego car there was barely any Legos to build anything and the containers holding the tiny little pieces of Legos was encased in a wood station and when you go to lift up the plastic Lego container you could see all the way down inside the copious amounts of garbage Legos ridiculous amounts of dust ball’s. It was discussing. Then we went to see about Alec who apparently don’t work there he is brought in from time to time and doesn’t have any kind of schedule with Lego land. We honestly wanted to meet him only and the amount of money to go in here was extremely over priced to say the least. We lasted about a total of 15-20 ands no Alec. So we decided to leave because it just wasn’t worth it. I reached out to management and they graciously returned the money and we then instead bought Lego. I honestly would not pay to go back inside and would much rather spend money inside the store itself. I’m giving it a low rating based on it being so dirty and a lot of the stuff we were going to see either want working, not enough products and the main guy Alec. I would give the manager a 5 star for her kindness and ability to reimburse us. We drove from Canada down to Mexico and then drove back up to Arizona stayed an extra day so we could go there specifically. Over all it was lacking, over...
Read moreWe met friends at Legoland Discovery Center in Arizona Mills mall on a Tuesday. It was our first time visiting and it wasn't too busy. Tickets are $24.99 before tax, or you can do like we did and paid $29.99 to get Legoland and the Sea Life aquarium next door. We had a blast and spent all day at Legoland, so we have sixty days to return and use our pass for Sea Life.
In our group we had two 6 year olds, an eight year old, two moms, and grandma. Everyone was entertained! We all had fun starting on the shooter style ride aiming at targets through different scenes. Then we walked through mini land where all of the scenes and buildings were Arizona landmarks. Some even had buttons to push that made characters move. The baseball football stadiums were awesome but the Grand Canyon was my absolute favorite! This whole room was so cool!
In the main play room, there is a snack bar with drinks and food and grab-and-go snacks. Because they weren't too busy we were allowed to leave to grab lunch in the mall food court. (They won't allow this on a fuller capacity day). We all had fun building and adding on to the little city in the FRIENDS zone. The kids made friends and spent a lot time playing on the play structure...which gave us moms some adult chat time. Then we all watched the 4d ninjago movie. They have a few different movies that play throughout the day. We competed in building structures that could survive in the shaking earthquake zone. Competition continued by building cars to race and jump on different tracks. We peeked in the master builder room at all the 6 that Master Builder Alec (Check out his well known youtube channel) has put together. We finished the day by writing the second ride which was a spinning/flying ride that you had to peddle to go up and down.
It was a fun day and now I really want to go to the real Legoland

Read moreThis was our first time experiencing a Legoland. We took our 5 year old son. It is very likely a one and done experience. He had a good time, but it isn’t something we would choose for him to do again. The “cafe” is very lacking and overpriced which you would probably expect. We were there for hours. We got hungry. I thought there was a rule that no food or drinks can come in .. but people had their own snacks and drinks. They are wiser than us. The staff was fine. All very young people that I doubt have the confidence to enforce anything like the snack/drink rule.
We were in line for the train/shooting gun ride .. there is a sign stating the height requirement which my son clearly did not reach .. it also stated that it was a spooky ride as a warning .. so, we left the line. Later we returned because my husband wanted us to try it again and there was no line this time. The woman running the ride said “if they can walk they can ride” and guess what? The ride is not spooky .. at all .. just wanted to share that with any overly cautious moms like me.
We bought the full package tickets that included Sea Life .. Ranger pack (at Sea Life) and Minifigure. I think Digital photos too .. Do not waste your money on all of it. Just go to Legoland. I went all out because it was our first time and our son’s birthday. I did not know what anything was .. Sea Life is mostly a bunch of fish. Save your money! Rush those kids right through the gift store @ Legoland too lol.
Also, there is a set time for the train ride and the movie showings .. both short experiences .. but, make sure you know the times right away to plan out your day.
I think the highlight for us was the digital photos to remember our time together.
It was chilly in there! Glad I was wearing a...
