This weekend, my husband and I went to the store, we were looking at some things, I didn't intend to buy anything because I didn't find what I was looking for, but my husband was looking at some shorts that he liked and might buy, he took one of them, took it off of the hanger to see how they looked and told me that he liked the color, one of the employees was looking at him and asked him if he was going to buy the shorts, my husband answered I'm not sure, and hand over the shorts to him, at that moment my husband acted confused, he didn't know why the employee had asked him if he was going to take the shorts, but I did realize wht the employee's intentionswere, after that, the same employee continued to harass my husband and approached him and told him, next time, if he wasn't going to buy the things, he shouldn't grab them off the hanger. I angrily answered the employee because what he was doing is not right. An employee never approaches a customer to warn them not to look at something they aren't buying, an employee does not harass customers, especially when the customer is not doing anything wrong. That employee who has no experience or common sense to interact with customers, or was not given the proper training, will not provide his name even though employees are obligated, since that's the purpose to wear a name tag. My intention was to make this report, apparently, he called his manager on duty, to what she responded and appeared on scene, then suddenly, more employees approached the scene surrounding us, I tried to explain the situation to an older lady who was there, but she verbally attacked me, and when I asked her name she took her badge and put it against my face, which I could not read because it was very close to my eyes and I could not see it. That action seemed extremely rude to me and I felt very attacked. The manager on duty could not control the situation, since she let her employees who had nothing to do with the matter, intervene and attack us. Jenny told me her name was, but did nothing. This situation was outrageous and traumatic for my husband and me, since we never imagined that in a matter of minutes, we would be assaulted and surrounded by employees in a store who don't know how to do their jobs, aren't properly trained in customer service, and argue with people who are buying in these types of stores. For our part, we don't plan on ever returning, and I hope these people are removed from their positions so that other customers don't have to go through this type of inconvenience. This was the worst experience of our lives, and you know why? Because we are decent people and we only go to stores to buy things, not to cause trouble, and those employees are the worst I've ever interacted with. A very sad and unpleasant experience. That manager, Jenny, needs proper training to control her employees on duty. And as the employee who was harassing us wouldn't release his name here is...
Read moreIt's a Ross. So a competent 3-stars.
They have staff at the outside doorway, which is not the shopper's egress. The paid traffic flows very consumeristically into the mall proper (as opposed to every other Ross I have ever known, which had been the IN-door/OUT-door, GroverspillsthesouponNPCMuppetonSesameStreet affair. Until now).
My hand was coincidentally bleeding a little and I thought I should try to tend to it while I was there. I had come from the parking lot between Ross and Priest and was met by the non-cashier staff.
"You don't happen to have any bandaids?" I was appealing to their professional selves. they might have a first aid kit. One half- glanced toward the employee area but a realization of possible first aid for sale must've crossed my face because the other suggested whatever pharmacy Arizona Mills happened to contain
"I'm here for the Amazon lockers." I held up my phone, walking towards the way the latter had pointed. As I passed the first, I displayed the injured finger. My expression was one of, 'your-first-aid-kit?'
Snake Eyes. Not her. Her eyes were fine. But no Band-aid.
I got my delivery from the locker and wondered why Amazon and Ross had entered into this financial matrimony. Was it the hope of Ross' carpet people that Amazon clients might impulse-buy while there?
If so; they have never shopped at...
Read moreThis was my 1st time in Ross in over a year due to the Pandemic. I desperately needed to be out and in a store. We chose a quiet time during the week to go but I forgot it was Spring break so it was a little busy though not packed. They had 1 entrance through the mall with the other blocked off to slow down foot traffic. Everyone was wearing masks and sanitizer wipes were readily available at both the Mall entrance and Parking lot entrance. They had a good selection of everything. I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of faux plants and flowers. There weren't many candles but that is always a hit or miss regardless. The aisles were tidy and easy to maneuver. When we checked out there was no line! That never happens haha. The partition at the register made it a little awkward but we figured it out. We are super grateful for the employees and management for making our outing as safe...
