I just waited 20+ minutes in a long drive-thru line at 1:30am to complete three small UberEats orders. This location is often busy and slow so that was normal.
This late at night the delivery orders are typically not very big and in total there were roughly 10-12 items among them (depending on how you count a few combos.) At the speaker I was nevertheless told that their policy would require me to select two and then go through the line on a second pass for the last of the three. Or I guess there was also the option of "canceling" one of them which is still a logistical hassle and creates weird issues that might actually cost drivers a large percentage of the expected payout. The app does not facilitate making the best choice a scenario like that.
I'm not sure how they expect to keep Uber/customers with such an idiotic policy. I do respect the idea that perhaps in limited cases there might be a large volume of food involved and they don't want to inconvenience other customers with a disproportionately long wait. They do devalue my time though, as well as these Uber customers', along with the obvious food temperature (and safety?) issues involved. This isn't fundamentally any different from the potential for any given "regular" car in line to be ordering for a household of a dozen people. They should be able to deal with a reasonable cap on a case-by-case basis if truly this creates a headache. Rather than strict, arbitrary cutoffs, they should just apply appropriate logic when a single order comes in with some absurd quantity. And GPS location data ought to facilitate timing options that are much more efficient than passively delaying food prep until the relatively late point of a speaker check-in. An obvious low-tech solution is to just ask drivers to pull around and wait at the door as other sane restaurants do. Way too often they're primarily obsessing about their stupid throughput metrics, which apparently supersedes customer service as the top priority, even when nobody else is around.
Because I refused to go along with the nonsense, they cost me a large chunk of time to finally escape the queue and a loss of about $20 that I would have earned. (I communicated to each customer whose meal was ultimately postponed. My apologies to them.) I will never eat at this location and I will be reporting this to every feedback channel I can think of. Absolutely I will avoid future deliveries as much as possible. Per the staff you can blame daytime manager Veronica and give her an earful for such...
Read moreOrdered dinner for myself and my husband on the app like we always do on nights we decide to get carry out. My husband suggested Wendy's like he always does. My husband offered to pick the food up and waited within the appropriate time to go pick up the food from the restaurant. Husband called to get the receipt because the store did not have our food so I sent him the receipt and log in info for the app just in case. Husband called back again saying that the manager called him a liar and said we already picked up our food and this has happened before with us. Manager told husband that he is lying and saying how does the store or manager know that wife did not come in and pick up food before my husband walked in. The Manager Andrew would not give us our food and refused to make any amends or even offer a refund. Instead came up with excuses and reasons to treat us with disrespect and make accusations that are simply false. Over food that was no more than 16 dollars? I would understand if it was a order greater than 100 dollars or so. But was all that hate and lies worth it? I really enjoyed wendys. But after this I honestly will not be buying my family food from here again after being treated...
Read moreThis location sucks!!! I've experienced a lot of low quality services but nothing beats this Wendy's. The workers are rude and can't ever get your order right. My family and I ordered on Uber and when it came we were missing more than half of our items on a fifty dollar order. Uber gave the money back but we ordered the missing items again for pickup instead. But when we got to the Wendy's the workers were extremely rude. They told us that they didn't have what we ordered and instead of trying to make up for it or asking if there was something else we wanted they gave us about seven large fries and told us that that's all we are going to get. They should have just made orders unavailable online. And I thought it was a one time thing cause it was pretty close to closing. But the next day on the way home my girlfriend and I stopped to get food. She ordered a Dr pepper and baconator fries. They couldn't even get that order right. They didn't even put bacon on them, not a single piece. The service here is terrible and something needs to be done about it. I would rate zero stars...
