I came with some friends for a special event! Me and my friends got a couple things and let me tell you, they DON’T skimp out on portions. It’s NUTS! You get so much for what you paid for.
Food: We got the Riverside duck (LOVE this), the Zijang Style Frog, Vermicelli Shrimp (THIS is as my favorite), Tiger Skin green peppers (THIS was also my fave), and braised turtle (I personally was whatever on this but my friends really loved it). Food wasn’t super spicy at first bite but if you’re not familiar with Sichuan food, the spicy does build the more you eat it. I was honestly so scared I wasn’t gonna tolerate it (cause me and spice don’t mix very well) but it WASN’T bad! The flavor is SO good. I PROMISE. I think next time imma try their fried rice, intestine dish, and more of their duck!
Place: It’s a cute little corner restaurant and it is quite small but we don’t wait at all for a group of 6! There’s a parking lot at the back.
Service: The service was super nice! They were very friendly in suggesting different dishes for us, especially those who weren’t as adventurous. LOL.
If you’re looking for a really good Sichuan Chinese food, definitely come see this hidden gem! I have a feeling this place is gonna blow up if it hasn’t already. I already have plans on what I want...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I went to this restaurant for dinner one evening. They were nearing closing time, and it felt like they were rushing to finish up. We ordered goose intestines, and it seemed like they weren’t fully cooked. Here’s what happened after we ate there:
Day 1: Morning: I felt muscle aches all over my body. My girlfriend started experiencing diarrhea in the morning, followed by nausea and vomiting. By noon, I also began feeling nauseous. Afternoon: Both of us started to develop fevers—mine reached 100.2°F, and my girlfriend's went up to 100.8°F. Taking medication helped alleviate the symptoms a bit.🤒
Day 2: Morning: My fever subsided, but my girlfriend's fever persisted and climbed to 101.0°F before improving with more medication. I started experiencing diarrhea, while my girlfriend’s diarrhea continued. Evening: After dinner, my girlfriend vomited again in the middle of the night.
Days 3–5: Our diarrhea symptoms gradually improved.
Day 6: I fully recovered from the diarrhea, but my girlfriend still experienced mild symptoms.
If you still decide to give this place a try after reading my review, I strongly recommend avoiding dishes like animal intestines and wish you the...
Read moreWas able to check this place out for the first time with a group of friends and it definitely did not disappoint! DELICIOUS indeed!
Parking was very easy with plenty of spots in the parking lot- behind the restaurant. once we arrived we were seated right away.
Two words: Szechuan galore.- We were first greeted with a side of peanuts to snack on and let me just tell you… SO SO GOOD!!! Very tasty and very addicting to snack on while waiting for the real meal to arrive!
We tried various dishes with fish, shrimp, rabbit, turtle, frog, and duck. (Be advised, might need to call a day ahead of time to request rabbit and turtle) - yes I know it sounds crazy but it honestly tasted more like chicken and beef! My FAVORITE was the garlic shrimp with the noodles and the duck dish with quail eggs and veggies! And please let’s not forget the whole fish, honestly tasted like sweet and sour fish that melted it your mouth!!!
I absolutely CANNOT WAIT to come back again and try more of the other dishes!!! Thank you...
