When there's no more festivals to clear out the homeless, they come back and set up shop. Some of the homeless are OK. They keep to themselves and don't make a mess. But then there are others who just take up the space as if they own it. The library staff wanna pester the law-abiding locals that are here doing their routine, but then they don't bother to prevent the homeless from setting up, and I'm sure they don't have to clean up the urine and feces the homeless leave behind, along with whatever little possessions they drag along with them. I understand this is a county-wide problem, but something's gotta be done about this. These people need mental help, but there aren't any resources. There are shelters in the county, and some lay empty, while others are so packed, they only take the *chronically homeless* (3 years of homelessness).

There is only one computer available for accessing the Internet. And the SmartAlec prints my PDF doc as a blank page and is unable to print JPG. Update: There is a "chat space" encircled by glass in the middle of the library. People talk loudly inside. But the glass does not cover the top of the space. So people can be disturbed by the noise. Anyway I don't think the glass is sound-proof. I don't know why on earth someone would design something like this.

customer service 5 star. safety at the front step 0 star

I am not a regular patron but I fell (10 years ago) on the front step exiting to the front center from the door, because the side was a gradual slope when I entered and I thought the center would be the same when I existed. Because the step was shallow viewing it from the door exiting that it looked like one flat surface on the exterior landscape. I missed the step thinking it was a flat surface and I had sprank my ankle. Fast forward to 10 year later - a couple weeks ago... since I am not a regular patron and I came back for the first time after it was renovated. I completely forgot about the step at the entrance, I fell again, This time I scraped my knees and it was also dislocated the left knee while I was down, but popped back up when I pull myself up. At that time if felt okay no pain. But after a week or so the swelling went away and my left felt bony and it was popping in and out depend on how it was straighten; sometimes it was painful because it was scrapping from within. I had voiced to the people that works there after I felt and I hope something should be done about the step in the front entrance. I consider myself lucky so far, and I will try to remember the step that looks like a continuing surface beyond the pavement- when I come back again, I hope something can be done about this!!!!!!

Can it be smoothed out and form a gradual slope so it can be safer...

The place is a amazing place to stay in for all ages. Even though the amount of books isn't great, being able to hold books solves that. The Library staff is helpful with finding books. Even though there are teen that are loud, all libraries face that problem if they have any sort of electronics. But, some people did get kicked out for being warned too many times. They also have programs that happens every hour or so. (This is not counting the express library because it is like it...
