Asked for their Chicken Parmesan with linguini (instead of spaghetti), and received a very LARGE portion of pasta and chicken (the chicken took up three quarters of the large plate). The presentation was spot on (the perfectly browned and melted cheese was the predominate visual element), and it tasted as good as any chicken parm I've ever had. Friend had spaghetti with meat sauce, and received a LARGE bowl of delicious spaghetti. Neither of us could come close to finishing our meals, and we are both big eaters.
Brought the uneaten portion back to the house. Gave some to my father (visiting for holidays, who does not eat much lately and is VERY picky) who tore through it (which is a miracle in and of itself), and I had some for breakfast this morning. There's still enough left for another decent sized meal, but it probably won't make it to lunch.
It's too far away for me to eat there regularly, but it would be my (close) second favorite restaurant (my first favorite is TacoSon, also on 56th Street in Temple Terrace). Matter of fact, they may now be tied for first...
Read moreNot bad, but nothing overly mindblowing. Everything seemed made with fresh ingredients, however. No complaints about the pita, salad, garlic bread, or soup. The chicken gyro and rice was good. The chicken was seasoned well and was cooked perfectly. However, there wasn't enough sauce for all that meat so it was a bit dry.
The chicken and shrimp pasta was also decent, with extremely juicy chicken. The dish as a whole was unfortunately lacking in flavor. I was also not a fan of them leaving the shells on the shrimp.
However, the chocolate cake was certainly a highlight. It was very fudgy and rich and dark, so I definitely recommend getting it.
As for the non-food critiques, service was good and the waitress was impressed with my appetite. The prices were very fair for the portions, coming at around $60 for what was probably enough food for 3-4 normal people between myself and my dining partner. The choice of music in the restaurant was definitely a weird one, to say the least, but average atmosphere other than that. Overall, this place...
Read moreI have been going here since about 2014, and it's still kickin'! I have had the saganaki, and chicken Alfredo. They're delicious. Recently, we went with our kiddo and got a huge spread. The family favorite was the spanakopita. It was crispy and hot. We are Greek and we know decent Greek food. Now, is this tarpon springs quality? No. But it's damn close! We also ordered delicious Greek salads, pita, rice, a fish sandwich, and gyro. My gyro was delicious and HUMONGOUS. Actually, all of the food was great portion sizes. We brought all of our leftovers home. The veggies are so fresh!
The service here is wonderful also. Our drinks were never empty, the table was cleared promptly and the server was very friendly.
The only thing I took a star off for was the atmosphere, because it's a bit outdated in there. Even still, it's CLEAN. They must go through with a fine tooth comb every night because it's spotless in there, truly. Definitely recommend this place and we cannot...
